I rung April UK as I wanted to change my health insurance company. I spoke to Jo who was very helpful and honest on what April could and couldn't do for me as I have a pre existing condition. I appreciated the explanations in plain and simple language without making me feel silly if I didn't understand. Follow up emails and paperwork arrived promptly and when expected. The follow up call to check I did have everything and if I had any questions was also a pleasant surprise.

My advisor dealt with all my questions and queries very quickly as I had arranged a consultants appointment very quickly. The claim was authorised and dealt with very efficiently leaving me able to concentrate on the appointment.

Recently I made a claim and it took altogether about 2 mounts before I got payed. I know this is Not only down to you. It took the doctor 4 weeks to fill-in the claim-form; and Why do I have to pay him £ 34.00. But Why did it take You ( April ) almost 4 weeks to obtain information. I know from colleges that this is why they don't claim; to much hassle, and paying money upfront. ( doctors fee ). April is a very good and fare insurance; have always payed with no hassle in the past years. I hope to be stay a happy costumer for may years to come. Thanks Very Much. Yours; Erik Ruesink.

Completing the form is easy and, provided you have the correct receipts, payment is very quick. Compared to so many other insurance companies who drag their feet, April is a breath of fresh air.

My claim was handled very efficiently & very quickly. It was only a matter of days from sending my claim form off, to receiving the payment. Would highly recommend.

Unessary paper work (claim form ) just for claiming for minor expensive Dentis / prescription e t c have to return whole form. Also do not like submitting bank details every time.

Joined April UK last year because of their good price and policy was acceptable to what I required. Have not made a claim accept for 3 nights cashback benefit for staying in a NHS hospital. My premium has gone up £600 this year. Been told it's because I have gone into another age bracket and medical inflation and the overall amount of claims people have made. When I purchased the policy I was told "claim as many times as you like. It won't affect your premium". What they didn't tell me was everyone else's claims will.

Having sent my request for a claim for to the wrong address, it was forwarded onto the correct address very quickly A follow up call from me was dealt with quickly and effectively. Responce to payment was quick and easy for my optical cover

Just made another claim on my i've just made another train on my cash plan paid into my bank within four days not a good service as always Keith. Just made another claim on my cash plan from time sending off clam forme to receiving money in the bank 4 days. For many years I have had this policy for many years and always found it very good Keith

My first and what will be my last experience with April . The first time i try to make a claim and it was a disaster. My 11 year old son fractures his jaw on a Sunday which is confirmed by a x ray in A&E. The Hospital in form me he needs further assessment from a Maxillofacial doctor. So this is when i contact April who tell me they do not see a problem with the claim and promise with confirm before 4.00 o clock on Monday . In the meantime they email me a consent form to release details of my sons treatment at the A&E on Sunday. I return this to the within 30 mins. 4 o clock comes and goes and at 4.45 i get a email telling me it will take a further 2/3 days before they will confirm weather i can make a claim. With everything now closed and In total despair i call my insurance broker, the next morning. He comes back to me to 2 /3 later to tell the reason for the delay are checking out this is not a previous injury. Well I am sorry my son is looking like the Elephant Man with has a fracture !!! How can this be a previous injury before a policy was taken out ????. They also tell me they are waiting for a form they sent me to access the medical records and they have been trying to contact me. Well i tell him unless all the phones services are not working or they have forgot how to email anyone i have received nothing. I told him i sent yesterday and 30 mins later i get a email to confirm they found it !!!!. The NHS have been incredible and once i spoke the doctor wanted to see my son Immediately and we have since had the required scan needed. SO PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY WITH THIS COMPANY !!!!!!!!

I have been a customer for around 9 years and have the Health Cash option on the Private Medical plan. Whenever I make a dental or optical claim, it's always dealt with very quickly and paid straight into my bank account so I don't need to bank a cheque. Would recommend this plan as some other plans only pay a percentage of each claim rather than the whole amount which this plan does as long as you haven't exceeded the annual policy limit.

Extremley helpful and very personable throughout the entire telephone conversation. Follow up calls to myself were made when promised and all cover was clearly stated and explained very well. My daughter also arranged cover for her policy that is about to lapse and she too experienced a first class telephone conversation with every aspect covered and explained to her.

Wow !!! What a pleasant surprise to speak to someone who cared, new their products, had great people skills knew the meaning of "Customer Service". Jo Fry was a credit to your organisation. I used the experience in a recent team meeting as an example of the standards we should achieve. A great start to our relationship which I hope continues for a long time.

I found Jo Fry to be both friendly and knowledgeable. After speaking with Jo, I saw no point shopping around for lower prices. I would rather pay a bit more (if I am indeed paying more than market rates - I'm not sure) and receive good service. Please don't outsource your services to overseas companies - it really is nice speaking to someone who knows and understands your own culture.
