It wasn’t Home Depot, it was the driver who delivered my door from Home Depot. His name is Jay Pecci. Plate on truck, vehicle 7. Estes delivery service. The text we received said delivery was scheduled for 7:30 am. But, he delivered the door at 6;00 AM!!!! When my husband went out he asked him what happened to 7:30. The guy said, “what does time have to do with it!” He was just rude to an A——hole. Other comments were spoken that were rude . Not happy about it!

Issue: Online reservation disaster Outcome: Our reservation was cancelled early the next morning, and we were told our generator was given to another customer. Reservation date: 10/7/2024 Pickup date: 10/8/2024 I hope everyone in the path of hurricane Milton fared well and sustained little to no damage first. But if you ever need to reserve a generator or other necessary equipment in lieu of the storm AVOID HOME DEPOT AT ALL COST! I live in Chicago, and I tried to fly down to help my elderly parents and siblings who opted to shelter in place in North Fort Myers, Florida. We sheltered in place for hurricane Ian 2 years prior, so we knew we had to take considerable precautions for Milton. For those asking why we did not purchase our own generator after Ian, I hope you realize that not everyone can afford to do so, especially on a fixed income. I was supposed to fly in on the Tuesday before the storm to take my mom to doctor’s appointments and to check in with them for my own sanity, but my flight got delayed until 10/13/2024. So, I made an online reservation based on a suggestion from a co-worker on 10/7/2024. The idea of being able to reserve a generator and rent one for a week seemed like a God send so I proceeded to do so and entered 12pm on 10/8/2024 as the pickup date. The online process asked me when I would like to pick it up and to list the first and last name of the person that would be picking it up. Since my flight was delayed until Sunday, I put my brother’s first and last name down since he was available. We received a confirmation message and were good to go…so we thought. Turns out our order was cancelled early the next morning, and we were told that the generator was no longer available!!!! We did not find out that this was the case until we arrived at the store for our pickup time of 12pm on 10/8/2024. Why did we not know, you ask? My family and most of Fort Myers, Florida lost power on 10/7/2024!! So, we had no idea our reservation was cancelled. What is worse is that the store representative my brother, sister and nephew spoke to said that they “gave the generator” to another customer. When we asked why, the rep told us that we needed to arrive 4 hours after making the reservation to secure the generator!! I told him that that is absurd especially if the online reservation application requires you to put down when you would like to pick up the reserved item! The rep agreed that it does not make sense, and his only defense is that we have this issue all the time and that the online reservation process has never been good. In closing…shop elsewhere and do not trust an inept online process by Home Depot. Know that even their representatives do not trust the process and that you should go elsewhere. I personally believe that someone knew someone that works at Home Depot, and they were able to bump our reservation for a “friend.” That is extremely disappointing in general, but it is unforgivable during a crisis or in this case, a national emergency.

We went to home depot for a granite countertop for our kitchen. The salesman did his best to talk my wife into quartz countertop ( more expensive). Wife said no. Short version is the cost has been revised upwards 3 times, the plumber from HD said they would have to charge more (4th increase) since the drains from New sink were not the same as the old sink. I told them never mind and I'll get my own plumber to finish the job. Pathetic planning on the estimate. Original cost nice, after 4 revisions not so much.

AUG 24TH ordered a washer and dryer. Upon delivery dryer side panel unpainted. 2nd delivery control panel had chips on it called and told next delivery will Come with white glove service? 3rd delivery door scratched told again next delivery will have WGS 4th delivery same dryer with Scratched door came back? October 11th receive a dryer finally! Given number to GE who stated it is under warranty and they would have to sent a tec out? Unacceptable! Received a credit toward my bill which was insufficient considering the time away from work and the inconvenience. I aways shop at HD Las vegas however after this I have to seriously reconsider my options in the future.

10-16-24 At HD Hollywood (store manager Thomas Collazo) the man who was in the plants register at 2:27 pm was so rude. He sat when he saw me with 2 big soil bags and kept watching me, I asked if it was self service and told me up to you. It was so difficult to see the screen because of the sun light but he never tried to help, just watch me. Then, he is there just waiting to complete hours to get his payment. Very bad customer service!!!! Next time I go to Lowe's and they have discounts!! Home Depot 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻

Went to Home Depot for bids on flooring and cabinets.. They require you to pay for their measurements. I paid $140 for measurements of my cabinets and flooring. Their bid for flooring alone was over $32,000 and refused to show me the measurements that I paid for. Be advised! Competitors in the same area bid less than $12,000 and that’s including the same material.

They weren’t able to install the dishwasher and mentioned they don’t install in mobile homes. We had asked prior is they did and they had said yes. I had to end up installing it instead and it wasn’t that difficult.

I am so very sad. I am a senior citizen and I feel that Home Depot took complete advantage of me. I purchased several appliances from the Fuquay-Varina store in early September and have only had damaged products delivered. It does not matter who may have been the cause of this LG, the delivery warehouse or anyone else. I have purchased these products in good faith and right now Home Depot has my money and it now almost 5-weeks and I do not have a product. I feel it’s a shell game between Home Depot, LG and the delivery folks. Ultimately all three organizations are taking advantage of a senior citizen without any action, allowance or simply caring by taking responsibility of their end of this purchase agreement.

Home Depot in Mentor Ohio is awful for home renovation. Got new flooring and I was told they would be able to rip up my tile, when they got here they were not able to do that so they had to go over the tile and there’s a large transition between the rooms. Had cabinets resurfaced and they did an awful job, the trim was short, had a bunch of rough edges & area sticking out from the nails on the cabinets. Had someone come back out? He tried to fill in the gaps with putty and marker. Had my countertops done and doesn’t even match the sample that they showed me, not to mention it wasn’t even cut evenly. I went and did this as a bulk project. If I would’ve known what a nightmare this would’ve been, I would’ve never gone through with it. They told me that it all look exactly like what they showed me and does not. I had to return the backsplash because it clashed with the countertop seeing that it was different than they showed me. Brandon, the one who I don’t with for all of this is awful. He said trust him he’s got a college degree lol what a joke that was.

I called the store in Richland Hills Texas to rent a trencher. While I could not reserve the trencher, there was an extremely difficult process to rent the equipment because they now use Clear to do a background check on anyone renting equipment. I refused. I do not want all of my data in some nationwide database because I rented a trencher. I talked to a manager who said that there was not alternate method to rent equipment at Home Depot. So what would happen if I didnt have a smart phone. I will never use Home Depot again.

I ordered an item online from Home Depot to be delivered and didn't receive it. After one week I contacted Home Depot about the failed delivery and asked to have another shipment of the same item sent to me. Home Depot refused, and I then asked for a refund on the product, Home Depot told me I would have to bring the item into the store to get the refund. Mind you, this is an item I did not receive. When I questioned the employee about this over the phone, I was told this was policy. Now ask yourself, what is wrong with this situation? I then contacted my credit card company to dispute the charge for non-delivery. When Home Depot caught wind of this dispute, I received my product in a few days. I feel the company as a whole is bunch of cheaters trying to just get your money, and customer service just plain sucks!! If they feel they have you over a barrel, the company will take advantage of you.

I ordered online… the UPS messed up and I never received the package. I called UPS and they said Home Depot has a specific policy to not be able to make a UPS claim for their deliveries. I called Home Depot and they said UPS is responsible for shipping. I tried with my credit card provider to solve this, however after 2 months they charged me for an item that I didn’t receive.

Purchased a very nice gas stove with all of the delivery/setup/parts/haulaway for an extra $130 or so online at the Richfield UT store to be delivered to a family member there. Called customer service to make sure I had the correct zip code (the family member a few miles away, or the store- wasn't sure which to use). The CS person told me I could do the entire transaction on the phone with her, went through that whole bit of business and then it was sent to my husband's phone where it had to be approved, blah blah blah and on it went. Finally, she tells me it went through and we have a delivery date to them at the end of the month. Good, all is well, or so I thought- then, overnight I receive an email telling me all of the extra services have been cancelled (?) Called Home Depot the next day, seems there was some sort of glitch when the whole card business was done on the phone (I'm telling you, I was so careful I'm sure I didn't make a mistake, not with my bank card...). When I asked what the 'glitch' was (so I could correct it), the CS person I spoke with ran through around 5 or 6 different things it could be, but couldn't tell me which one it was (!!). To make a dreadfully long story somewhat shorter, they told me it would drop off my bank (where it was pending- how, I have no clue since it supposedly couldn't go through!) and it showed as everything had been 'cancelled' on the Home Depot website. After two days of 'pending' at my bank, I figured when I checked this morning it would be gone. Imagine my surprise when I saw that it had been PUT THROUGH to the tune of almost $1,000. This is for a transaction that had been cancelled due to a 'glitch' with my card, yet Home Depot managed to get that money....I called this morning, trying not to let it ruin my morning (coffee helped), where the CS was very nice and apologetic...told me it would be back in my bank within a few days. Wow. Just wow. I had been waiting for it to drop off the bank thinking we would use our Home Depot credit card instead, but after this? No way. I'll use our Lowe's card and get one for them there. What a mess.

I purchased multiple Hampton Bay lights and have been installing them they have been fine until I needed more which I bought another 4 boxes. Spending over $300 every box there were lights that either didn't turn on or had an issue the best one (sarcastic) one started to smoke luckily I noticed because a fire could have started. When I reached out to Home Depot with my concerns sending pictures and informing what a huge safety issue and concern this was especially if I wouldn't have noticed and walked away leaving it to continue smoking all I got was a "sorry you experienced this " horrible!

I purchased 3 pails of latex-ite ultra shield driveway sealer.I do not have the receipt however I still have 2 of the pails. Finish was terrible did not cover. Daulton contacted me after seeing my review, requested photos which I sent they said the driveway had structural issues yet 3 years ago I applied the 8 year product and it finished beautifully. They want to give me 3 more pails of this garbage. I don't care for the finish want my $ back. This is an overrated underperforming product. biggest waste of time. Also I wrote a review and its not on your website. Please advise.
