I have worn and loved Hotter Shoes for many years, but today when I ordered I had to cancel. Why? They no longer use Royal Mail for delivery. The courier, I was told, "may leave the box on the doorstep", no good to me as I'm often out, have no safe place and live in a busy area.

DREADFUL DREADFUL company AVOID at all costs I would have left NO STARS rip off Company I ordered a pair of boots paid postage arrived too narrow sent back had an email saying was processing refund after 10 days phoned to find out where my refund was! Was told oh we have put it through it is up to the Finance Department to arrange this now! So probably wont be getting back for at least another 5-7 days. Got refund eventually only to find it was £2.95 short phoned was told oh you have to pay to return the item too. So not only do you pay for delivery but if you don't like it or it doesn't fit you have to pay to send it back so nearly £7 in postage RIP OFF COMPANY WITH DREADFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE AVOID AVOID

Company has changed hands, delay on despatching items but customers not informed. Payment still taken days before items despatched. Customer Services say it's not possible to let customers know about the back log . . . until you phone them to chase your order. My parcel will eventually be delivered when there will be no one available to sign for it. As the parcel hadn't been dispatched when I phoned, i asked for the delivery address to be changed but apparently not possible!

I ordered some sandals, 2/8/22 they said delivery would be 15/8/22. They never came, so I contacted customer service by email. They did reply, and told me the shoes were unavailable. They released my funds back to me. I don't think the shoes were available in the first place! Very bad service so I Googled and apparently the company is up for sale....sounds like I was lucky in that I didn't lose my money.

Although the sandals were wide, the bit in the middle between the 2 straps on the sides of my feet was hard and hurt so I returned them. The postage paid for delivery (£3.95) was not refunded and it cost an additional £2.50 to return the sandals. So trying on and returning uncomfortable sandals cost £6.45...I won't buy from them again. I'll get Pavers or Teva.

I wrote to Ian Watson, CEO of Hotter in August to highlight the problems I had faced when trying to obtain a refund and to complain about the add on delivery charge that had been applied in my opinion surreptitiously, this should of been applied at time of purchase However, to date there has been no response, therefore I conclude that the CEO's is not concerned about his customers and is unable or does not want to address my issues.
