“We purchased our Indows for the master bedroom. Our reasons were barking dogs (our neighbor has 4), traffic noise & a train that comes around 11 pm every night. The Indows solved our problem. We still have some noise but it no longer wakes us up. We highly recommend this product.”

“We live in an 1890s Victorian house with the original double hung windows. We love the character of the windows, but did not love our energy bills in peak seasons. Another concern we had is that because of the double hung construction there are small gaps where the windows overlap that are impossible to seal unless you compromise the functionality. Because we have these gaps, during the winter months we were having issues with tons of lady bugs coming inside to hibernate. We are very happy with our Indow inserts! I was a little worried about the self measure process, but Indow has a great system to check for errors. We ordered two rooms (7 windows total), and had no issues with any of the inserts fitting. I love that you can’t even tell they are there. While we never really opened the double hung windows, I do like that we were able to keep this original construction to the home while increasing performance. We are planning to order the rest of the upstairs rooms because we love them so much!”

“I was skeptical to order this insert because of the price, but it is worth it, my neighbors have an AC unit right by my bedroom, the sound didn't complete disappear because it's considered a low frequency but it helped a lot, thank you, now I can sleep better.”

“Ordered two inserts, one fits okay, the other has a gap. I will mitigate the gap when I get the chance by altering/shimming the window frame. From standing near the insert that fits, the results are really unsatisfactory. I was simply trying to prevent my rude neighbor’s dog from waking me up in the early morning. That goal was not achieved; not even close. I still clearly hear birds, people talking and love volume, slow moving passenger cars and dogs in my bedroom. The sound is dampened, slightly, but I was hoping to really attenuate the high frequencies. I understand that treble bounces and bass permeates. Understood I wasn’t going to defeat the sound of say a garbage truck or helicopter, but the performance for the cost just isn’t there. These were a waste of money. If effective, I would have done multiple rooms. The salesman knew my objective: dog vs. Indowondow. Was told these inserts were the solution. They were not. Just glad I only dipped a toe and didn’t order for all bedrooms.”

“I love my Indow inserts! I live in an old building on a loud street with an above-ground train rumbling down the road at all hours. I went from hearing the train and street noise constantly to barely hearing it once or twice per day (and that's only when I really listen for it). These have saved my sanity and helped me and my infant daughter sleep much more soundly. I'm also starting to notice the savings on my energy and heating bills. I'm very pleased with the Indows and highly recommend them!”

“They are simply wonderful. My info inserts really do a good job to minimize the band music that echoes up the brick wall and into my living space her in the third floor. The genius who implemented the squishy white tubing made it easy to get the snug fit needed whether it be sound, or cold coming in or air conditioning leaking out. Each and everyone on the team told me the truth, no hype. Even the Co. Who delivered was A+. Can’t say enough good things about you all, you have my heart felt recommendation! “I live in a Brooklyn apartment next door to a bar and very loud streets. Indow inserts really work! They've blocked a lot of the noise out for us. They're expensive but worth it. I highly recommend.”

“The Indow inserts that we ordered did not work for us due to the delay in their delivery. In part because of the increase in neighborhood noise, we decided to sell our home. The inserts were delivered right in the middle of our efforts to show the house. We rushed to put them out of the way, but they were large and heavy, and they were damaged in that process. We ended up just calling a junk hauler to haul them away. We never found out whether they would work.”

“We love our Indow window inserts! We are using them in a free standing music studio to prevent exterior noise from coming in and also prevent the noise on the interior from getting out. They are working great for this. Indows are also very easy to install and take in and out if you would like to open the windows.”

“The order arrived when promised and in perfect condition. The insert installation was simple and it fits fine. We have noticed it is doing a great job in keeping down the noise level from the outdoors making the room so much quieter than in the past. It is doing what we had hoped as far as noise reduction. The assistance during the entire process from start to delivery in the purchase of the window insert was fantastic.”

“Our windows were a bit wonky but the indow team came through for us. They were very helpful in advising on our measurements and the inserts came in fitting perfectly. These have significantly cut down the noise from the street and restaurants across from our bedroom. Very happy with the quality of this purchase!”

“I am happy that I now have several rooms in my home that are noise sanctuaries. I am very sensitive to noise and intermittent dog and child noise outside was stressful for me. I added Indows to my bedroom, exercise room, and family room and I love that I can enjoy those rooms in peace. I no longer hear birds or dogs outside in the mornings and the neighbor children behind me are seen and not heard. Road noise has also been greatly reduced in my bedroom. Thank you Indow for increasing my quality of life! I only rated 4 stars out of 5 because of all the work I had to do myself in measuring and installing them. I wished the company had someone to install them for us, but they turned out great. My wood blinds were able to install over the top of them and the Indows are invisibly doing their job for me. It was definitely an expense and some work, but worth it in the end for the added peace and privacy I feel in my home. It was much easier to install the smaller bedroom windows than the larger family room windows, so if you order multiple sizes, start on the smaller ones first.”

We respect and understand your comments regarding measuring and installation. Although our design, instructions, and processes help to keep the measuring and installing time to a minimum, we respect the time taken by our customers. Extra assistance, if needed, can be found more reliably using a local handyperson. Thanks for mentioning the inserts working with your wooden blinds. I imagine this situation led to a little more time needed in the measuring stage. We appreciate the effort and are so glad it has proved well worthwhile. Thanks again for the feedback.

“The acoustic Indows do a great job keeping many noises out and dampening the rest so they aren’t annoying. If you are putting them in a bathroom be aware that outdoor noises still come through your vent fans. There was a little damage on one insert edging and they sent a repair kit right away. Indows are a bit pricy, but I’m old so everything now seems pricy. They are worth it though. Unpacking & installation were challenging due to our age as the bigger Indows are heavy & hard to get in place. A younger person or handyman is a great help. Customer service is awesome!! They walked us through every step from measuring through installation.”

“I'm editing my initial review since I ended up placing a second order. My first order was delayed multiple times. Some of the delay was due to supply chain issues, but then they planned a warehouse move and forgot to factor that into shipping times. The inserts themselves are high quality and I still think they are the best out of the options I explored. The team members that I worked with were great. The noise reduction is good but I did hope for better. Part of my noise problem is low-end highway noise, so I wasn't too surprised when it wasn't as good as I had hoped. The seal that they create is huge for energy efficiency though and that is a big part of why I returned to cover the rest of my house. I timed my HVAC system before and after install and saw a significant reduction in the amount of time it took to cool one floor.”

“I ordered acoustic inserts for two rooms facing a busy street. The noise was reduced significantly. The measuring process was easy and accurate. The only issue was the shipping crate dropped at the curb. Unless you have two very strong people or a forklift, it can be very difficult to move. Make sure to plan for the delivery.”
