Kenneth, Thanks for the feedback. We are sorry that you are not experiencing the sound reduction you had expected. Proper fit and adjustment within the window frame to increase air space between the insert and the window are essential to maximizing sound reduction performance. We are happy to troubleshoot with you to ensure the fit and placement are corrected. While our inserts have been proven in independent test to reduce sound coming through window areas, all sound environments are unique and sometimes additional soundproofing measures are required in conjunction with our inserts to achieve the desired results.

“INDOW Window inserts have blocked about 60 percent of the powerful low noise from my neighbor's mal-functioning air conditioners. I no longer have to move from my bedroom to the couch in the living room to sleep peacefully! I was warned that this kind of sound might not respond to the inserts (which fit beautifully).”

“I ordered Indow window since I live near the train tracks and train noises are always a bother in the morning. It helped reduced most of the noise but not all of it. I can make do with what I got. Everything was pretty straightforward with installation and measuring. Although the delivery service was pretty bad. It gave me a time frame to work with. I come find out that they came 10 minutes earlier than the time frame and dropped the Indow window off at the wrong house. They dropped it off at the house across from me. Good thing I found it in their driveway. All in all. Good windows but bad delivery service.”

“Product concept is great, however the quality isn't there, i still feel air coming through it. The best remedy for leaky windows is to replace them. Cost is too expensive for such a frame with clear plastic layer. I can't justify paying $ 150 for one window insert while the cost to replace a whole window is between $ 300 to $ 400. Its a waste if money. I can't justify the cost for such a product. Had it been lower cost, would have made more sense to buy it. My advice, don't waste your money.”

“We absolutely love having our Indows. Our home was built in 1910 and still has wood and cast glass windows. In one month of use our winter (February) heating bill went from $530 2022 to $330 2023. Well worth it for our old leaky home.”

“Terrific product - we built a frame to create a space of four inches between the exterior and Indow. The installation was as explained in the videos. The hardest or most concerning part of the process was measuring - massive hassle if I got it wrong. However, with some practice felt comfortable with measuring and the fit is spot-on. Would recommend to anybody looking for noise mitigation and uv protection. We purchased the uv product and yet enjoying insulation and noise prevention.”

“The windows fit perfect and look amazing! However as a noise reduction they are just ok. The noise is reduced but not to the level advertised. I tried the music behind the window and it only reduced it by maybe half not completely as shown in the YouTube video on the web page. I still here my neighbors next door.”

Ian, Thanks for the feedback. We are sorry to hear that the sound reduction is not what you had expected. Due to the many variables in each unique sound environment, results will vary. Sounds can enter through other areas of the room other than the window areas and some frequencies (extremely low frequencies especially) are more difficult to mitigate. We are glad you like the look and design of the inserts. We are happy to troubleshoot further about other strategies for getting better sound reduction in your home. Sometimes other soundproofing is necessary in conjunction with our inserts to provide the desired results.

“There is a 10 degree difference between the windows without the inserts and the ones with. And they are not cold to the touch. They are doing a good job of insulating. They also cut down on noise by about 30% I'd say.”

“Excellent product, will buy more. We have a house on Cape Cod built in 1800. We love the old glass and cafe windows but need storms to insulate. Because the beautiful old windows open out, traditional exterior storms were challenging. These went in easily and the fit is perfect. We intend to order more for other windows too! Really great idea and solution for us.”

“Our house was instantly more comfortable AND quiet! Our heat runtime was 25 hours less this January than last year despite colder temperatures, a true indication of the Indow inserts effectiveness! We have also been able to increase the humidity without condensation and ice buildup on the windows.”

“I ordered 17 inserts for single-pane windows in my 1893 home. The inserts arrived in excellent condition, were easy to install, and fit beautifully. My pre-installation monthly utility bill was $487; the first post-installation bill is $343! I am thrilled at the savings and enjoying my warmer home.”
