Very helpful, but please Alan in your Cafe talks don't talk so fast and over each other. Sometimes I find it hard to hear.

I find your advice very helpful, even if I don't always take it. It gives me plenty to think about.

I subscribed to Intelligent Investor when it merged with Eureka Report and Alan Kohler joined the team. This provides me with an additional source of financial analysis and is a great balance for the other newsletters I also read.. I am pleased whenever the II Analysts provide a company overview for a company in my portfolio. I scan all new reviews and select those that interest me, normally using the email prompts but sometimes using the home page on the website.Particularly when examining my portfolio and undertaking a bit of rebalancing. I also use any changes to the recommendations offered by the analysts as a trigger closer analysis on my holdings. The II materials produce about one quarter of the input I read and absorb on a weekly basis.

The research articles are well researched and generally very good value. However, I have one complaint. Few people would undertake an investment without first examining the financials of a company and nowhere in the Intelligent Investor format are company financials (B/Sheet, Cash Flows, P & L, etc.) supplied; current, historic or future. Indeed, in some cases not even such basics as debt ratios or PEs are supplied. Since the suggested investments are frequently small or lesser known companies it is often difficult to find the information elsewhere. Even when the information is available elsewhere it would nevertheless have been far more convenient to have it alongside the research motivating the enquiry. Could you please supply company financials somewhere on the website? I stress that this is by way of a constructive criticism. I am very happy with the quality of the research provided and have made several excellent investments on your suggestions - hence my recent renewal of my subscription. Regards, Ray Pridmore

Many thanks to the team at TII. Informed share advice from people with no agendas, and educational info to help me be a better investor. No-ones right all the time but this crew have a pretty good strike rate and they are willing to own their failures as well as their successes

I have been investing in shares for 34 years from when I was 30. Prior to my subscription many years ago to The Intelligent Investor, the only advice I received was from my stockbroker. That experience was valuable, in that brokers generally base their advice as if you were a trader ... you know, a 10% to 15% gain or loss here & there whilst paying brokerage and tax. Yet I was more the buy and hold, long term 'value' investor wanting to invest in high quality companies with good dividends, then reinvest the cash into more shares. So I was excited to have found The Intelligent Investor team, as our investing philosophies align. I consistently beat the market and my accountant says I should have been a Fund Manager. Little does he know that my 'self directed' investing is thanks to The Intelligent Investor's sound research. I loaded up the truck big time in late March/early April 2020 and have received tremendous returns in high quality companies. Having lots of fun but it's a game of patience and you certainly need the discipline and personality for it. Thanks to all of the team at The Intelligent Investor.

I have been a very happy member since 2003. While I don't follow every recommendation I do follow most. In fact over the last ten years the All Ordinaries Accumulation Index has returned 6.9% pa compared to my return (which includes cash) of 9.54% pa. My best performing share, Woolworths (purchased at $2.85), has returned 2,934.59% which is capital gain and income. I also have 6 shares out of a total of 30 that have returned well over 100%, again capital growth plus income.

Logical reporting that I can understand. I like it. I might not always agree every time, but that's is how it should be. Serious information presented logically and honestly is about the best you can ever get.

Once your subscription is paid, you have "access all areas". No "upsell" and annoying tid bits trying to tempt you into upgrading. They look outside the square a bit, write enjoyable and readable reviews of companies. I have have paid one sons "boot camp" fees ($50 is a bargain investment) to assist him as he starts his journey and he tells me it was interesting and he learnt a lot.

I have found that they have their favourite companies and sectors and they find it hard to deviate from that. As an example, they warned readers back last year to stay away from the iron ore miners mainly because they were cyclical. As a result, they missed the rise of the iron ore miners and the resultant increase in their share prices and their significantly high dividend payouts. They also missed out on the rise in the prices of bank shares because they had warned readers to stay away from banks last year. They failed to review that advice when the economy started to recover. They also operate investment funds for members and the public. These funds contain shares that they are also reviewing for members. I do have a problem with that.
