“The advice provided has allowed me to achieve a better return than I would have on my own. I live in New Zealand so advice on Superannuation is of no value. Otherwise, I find the reviews, reports and recommendations to suit my style of investing. Not sure that you haven't picked up a template for another review - "how did you find the returns process"?”

“I remember the old Intelligent Investor, where you knew the people and saw how they suffered a stuff up. These days it is too clinical - people like JG (the last of the old timers) come and go and we are not part off the story of why they actually headed off. We used to have lists of what shares the various analysts invested in, which gave you an idea of top tips from your favoured analyst(s). These days we have a plethora of tips, but which ones are the really top tips - ok JA put out a series of portfolios to survive Covid last year, but are the tips still current? NB in a recent review of the Ethical Fund gave four of his tips - but was that from a fund perspective, or his own portfolio. Today the analysts seem to be making tips for the funds and less so for individual investors. some stocks seem to get lots of updates, but others eg BHP and Reece - are both past their recommended Sell price - but are they actual Sells or will the price guide be adjusted - give us some guidance. Another stock ASX was trading near $90 and the sell price was adjusted from $90 to $100 to $110, so I didn't sell, now it is trading in the high $60's and the sell price has been adjusted back to $100 and current announcements aren't favourable. I preferred the old II where it seemed to be set up to to help individual investors select contrarian stocks which we would hold forever. Whereas now it seems to be a Fund Manager where the decisions are made in house and some of that information is provided for investors. Finally how should I treat the information from Eureka Report - as a recommendation because they are interviewing that particular CEO, or is it just noise to confuse me even further as to which stocks to choose?”

“Investsmart portfolios are not particularly well performing . They tout low fees for management when compared to other ETF providers offer similar products for much less in terms of fees. They seem to compare their fee levels with funds on platforms rather than ETF’s thus masking their relatively high fees for similar products. The premium is not warranted by the performance.”

“Terrific for DIY Investors needing a guiding hand. Well researched + high conviction Buy Sell Recommendations, including all important buy/sell price $$$ points (unlike others). Heaps of other useful and needed features like Share Price Risk, Business Risk, Maximum Weighting, My Portfolio. Only wish could automatically link to my ShareSight portfolio. A great resource for long term value investors.”

“Intelligent investor would appear to be less about emerging stocks of existing stock that should be watched more closely than telling us what we already can find out for ourselves. To keep sending company data on stocks which not really helping decide if these are worth of investment or selling isn’t giving us much to go on. I have purchased shares in two of your fund which haven’t gone anywhere but downward and for you to be the intuitive people to say ‘the reason’ why is because ...... doesn’t give and faith in you understand the real potential of the stocks in these funds. Really lame for you to say we sold out of stocks in the fund because they were under performing as a number have when your access to company data and market comparisons. The platform which you use is way behind. Every time I try to open a email I have to log in and that’s irritating as it should eith be by face recognition or finger print without having to keep putting passwords in. So in light of the above seriously need to consider renewing my membership Cheers Brian”
