“Avoid them! Their app is really badly made, it seems to be a jacked together series of web views built on an archaic back end service.
It’s slow to load (first you get one spinner and a countdown... then you get another spinner and a countdown) and once you’re in it’s confusing to navigate.
They send so many emails that they must be killing the planet. I get at least 4 emails a week and most of them just say “you have a notification check your account”.... so I open the app only to find that notification is something like “you will receive a dividend in a month”... and there’s no way to turn any of these things off.
It’s a real mess and really is open for man in the middle exploitation as anyone could impersonate these emails really easily (they often include links in their emails).
Beyond that their website and app is so overloaded it’s unreal... it’s impossible to find things and there’s charts graphs and numbers shoved in left right and centre.
Also... If you want to trade in another currency you have to manually do the currency conversion as a transaction and then instigate your buys.
I thought degiro was bad... and then I got this broker...
I don’t know how a broker could actually be worse than this. Seriously... They need to scrap their current teams and structures go back to their users and understand needs because this is a huge mess of crammed together features with no real sensible structuring or intuitiveness. Go and use Freetrade or robinhood for the best of the best. Degiro for something that’s actually usable but avoid IB like it’s the coronavirus.”
