I do not recommend using Intoxaloc. You get false readings, and then when you try and dispute it, they don't even try to help you resolve the issue, they don't even look deep into the matter, the timing, the camera view, they just flat out give you the violation and fee. They just want your money. Even state troopers are not surprised by how many complaints they get. They are a terrible company/product. I strongly recommend to not use these guys. They are terrible, they just want your money. Even service centers will tell you that.

I also got a missed random blow violation. Been months ago and I keep it in my lap, w/radio super low. Paid 100.00 for that boo boo , never knowin how it happened Couple weeks ago I killed my pu, got out for couple minutes then hear the three beeps I caught that one and know how I got first now..it's bs This last payment the took 53.00 off my card instead of 43.00 That's bs too Told them when I started I had screwed up back for a rearended car wreck, not my fault, and said they would cut me some slack They have max'd me out every way they could Wish I would've just sat out 6 months of probation I had and walked Do not recommend these people for nothin I have plenty more gripes, but sick of texting

Terrible company do not pick this company to work with if you do plan on lock outs for no reason for instance, I hit a pothole, and it triggered the machine to give me a lock out, I tried to find it, but there was no way around it the company made me pay for that when it wasn’t my fault. so much more I could write about this company. I’m just trying to warn you look at other options. Not one lockout did I get for alcohol? It was always malfunction with the machine. It took all the battery out of my vehicle so that would give it a lockout, terrible company, save your money and pick someone else to work with. Please believe me.

PLEASE DO NOT USE INTOXALOCK. BE AWARE! INTOXALOCK DOES NOT PROVIDE ITS CUSTOMERS APPLYING FOR THE INTERLOCK WITH THE FULL COST UPFRONT. YOU WILL END UP PAYING ALMOST DOUBLE THE AMOUNT THEY GIVE OR QUOTE TO YOU WHEN THEY HAVE COERCED YOU TO SIGN THE LEASE AGREEMENT AND THEY WILL LEAVE YOU ON YOUR OWN TO SUFFER WITH MEETING THE LEASE TERMS IN THE AGREEMENT AFTER ENGAGING IN THEIR DECEPTIVE SALES. I am not here to bash the company but I want to warn all those interested in using the Intoxalock Interlock in your car. Stand warned! I have been a victim of Intoxalock's Business Deception and I have had a negative experience in just 4 days after installing their interlock in my car. This is why I am writing a negative review. Through its sales employees, INTOXALOCK behaves like a bunch of crooks and engages in all kinds of unethical practices, such as taking advantage of customers to boost their sales. Before making a purchase for an Interlock, I asked about the total cost, including any potential additional fees. Before committing to a purchase, one of their sales employees indicated that I needed to pay $29.99 for my paperwork with my state's Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) and the Installation would cost $110 and the monthly fee would be $89.98 and in addition, I would be provided a $100 rebate/credit that would go towards my monthly lease. All these are lies employed by INTOXALOCK to boost their sales. Their sales employees knowingly engage in deceptive sales practices that encompass a range of unethical and potentially illegal behaviors. And they know that. One example is their employee who works in the Sales department, and he is named Gerson Lopez (He can be reached at 888-288-7884 Ext Number 516). Lopez is one of the most deceptive salespeople I have ever come across. He can mislead or manipulate customers. He takes advantage of the customer's plight to his advantage. Why would you take advantage of a customer who is trying to reinstate his or her driving license privileges by hiding the costs? This sales representative is good at hiding fees and charges for the Interlock. By initially presenting a lower price, a product or service seems more attractive compared to competitors and the sales representatives at Intoxalock have mastered this art. They know that this can draw in customers who might not have considered the purchase at the full and true cost. PLEASE BE AWARE OF GERSON LOPEZ. During my engagement with him and before I signed off my 24-month lease for the Interlock, Gerson did not even disclose all the costs associated with Intoxalock's product and service, such as delivery charges, installation fees, or other hidden costs. The fees were calculated as the amount past due even before the installation. Why would you charge and have an amount due on a customer's account even before the installation? I called Lopez numerous times and sent him numerous emails. I understand salespeople often have quotas or targets to meet and may receive commission based on sales and hiding extra costs can help close more deals, directly impacting their income and job performance metrics. All I needed was for Gerson Lopez (He can be reached at 888-288-7884 Ext Number 516) to explain to me and clarify why some fees were intentionally and deliberately hidden from me. What was the purpose of hiding all these costs? And to make matters worse, when I needed clarification, Gerson Lopez (He can be reached at 888-288-7884 Ext Number 516) diverted all my calls and ignored my emails. I have seen Intoxalock adverts on how I can get $20 if I refer a friend. I can never refer a friend or an acquaintance who needs an interlock to Intoxalock. Gerson Lopez (He can be reached at 888-288-7884 Ext Number 516) had sent me an email requiring me to schedule my Interlock installation and he was contacting me every 3 hours to remind me and make sure I sign the lease agreement within 24 hours or else, I will face an additional penalty, if I do not schedule or if I miss my schedule. Before the interlock installation, I asked Gerson Lopez (He can be reached at 888-288-7884 Ext Number 516) why I was being charged $149.10 as an amount past due when I had not even installed the Interlock, he brushed it off and asked me not to worry about it. Like some salespeople who prioritize immediate sales over long-term customer relationships, this is what he could tell me to calm me down. He instead told me that it was a system error which would be rectified within 24-48 hours. After 2 days of installing the Interlock, I tried calling the same sales representative (GERSON LOPEZ) to ask him why a past due amount was still showing on my account and yet I had spent 2 days with an interlock in my car but he instead ignored my calls after I was being transferred to his extension numerous times and I sent him emails which he also ignored. This is the same salesperson, Gerson Lopez (He can be reached at 888-288-7884 Ext Number 516) who was bombarding me with calls and emails a few days ago and before the installation but all of a sudden, he went mute on the hidden charges which I needed a clarification on. I think this guy's life is full of deception and deception is seriously manifesting in actions and realities. Today, 11/10/23, I called the billing department to ask them and seek clarification on why I was being charged for an Interlock that I have not even spent 5 days with, a lady who answered and in the billing department apologized on how Gerson Lopez (He can be reached at 888-288-7884 Ext Number 516) had deliberately not clearly or explicitly stated in the initial price for the Interlock when I explained my experience with one of the Intoxalock sales representatives. Gerson Lopez (He can be reached at 888-288-7884 Ext Number 516) deliberately refused to disclose additional charges like delivery fees, installation costs, service fees, or administrative charges for the Interlock and he quoted me a price that was 60% less/lower than the actual price with all charges included. I asked the lady in the billing department why salespeople like Gerson use complex or confusing language to conceal unfavorable terms or make it difficult for customers to understand their obligations but she did not provide a better answer on why the sales department in Intoxalock behaves in such a way. I could not have known the hidden fees but they were revealed by the lady in the billing department and this is after I had signed a 24-month lease for the Interlock. For prospective Intoxalock customers, please be aware of Intoxalock and its sales representatives like GERSON LOPEZ. You may end up paying significantly more than anticipated if you are on a tight budget. Their sales employees behave like crooks who are habitually dishonest and engage in deceitful behavior. Please be aware of Intoxalock as their sales employees engage in deceptive practices to mislead customers and secure sales through dishonest means. They use aggressive sales techniques to coerce customers into making purchases they are not comfortable with by hiding the fees and charges. After signing the lease, a customer will find out that he or she needs to pay a couple of hundred dollars in hidden fees and charges. In case of a lock out, the interlock will be not be serviced until you pay the hidden fees that are due and as a driver you will remain in a locked out state until you pay for the hidden fees and charges that were not made open before the installation. As the interlock remains unserviced, Intoxalock will then report the driver to the state's Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) and the DMV will add a lengthy suspension to the driver's license. In many jurisdictions, there are laws and regulations requiring businesses to disclose all fees and charges to consumers. And for Intoxalock, I am forwarding this complaint to the state authorities and the Federal Trade Commission. INTOXALOCK and its employees like Gerson Lopez (He can be reached at 888-288-7884 Ext Number 516) need to be held accountable. Ethically, businesses like INTOXALOCK are expected to practice honesty and transparency in their pricing. PLEASE BE AWARE OF INTOXALOCK. DO NOT USE AN INTERLOCK FROM INTOXALOCK

I would encourage anyone who has to use a breathalyzer, use the intoxalock I tried all three of them. With the intoxalock you only have to blow not blow and hum. Also they have many local locations. Thank You to intoxalock.

My experience has been terrible just this week it will cost me around 500 dollars. Customer service is about 50/50 I usually have to call back to get someone I can talk with. My intoxalock failed me from what I understand using auto cleaner. I used it at 9:30 in the morning,and the test was failed at 7:30 in the evening. I have no kind of alcahol at all since my DUI. I ask about my bill being so high,and they say they can do nothing. All this happened after a calibration. I would advise anyone to try a different product.

Where do I begin .... first off if I could give this company -50 stars I would. Complete scam , they make you pay a fortune and when anything goes wrong ... ( which is almost every other week) they make you drive in and charge the hell out of you . They lie on the phone , everyone is named Tom or Rob or Jim but their real name is Ayush akaubsbava . Can't understand a word they are saying . Last thing that happened the device just stopped working like no light or anything . They want me to pay to get my car towed to the service center and then pay for the service because their product broke for no reason. You have been warned stay away !!!!

Needless to say, if zero stars was a choice available that is what I would give them. If not negative. I’m 60 years old and I’ve never ever had a worst customer service experience than with Intoxalock. You can never talk to a person. They intentionally set their lineup so that that is the case they never deliver on anything they say they’re going to do other than debit your money, regardless of whether you have gotten any value out of it, this company should be out of business.

Absolute dogshit company. Call to say my vehicle is in maintenance and they dont upload the file to say that. So I get charged a late calibration fee and a lock out fee costing 300+ dollars. When you call customer service you jump through automated hoops just to get someone that barely speaks English. Most frustrating company I’ve ever dealt with. HIGHLY DON’t RECOMMEND!!!

Big, huge red flag!!! Stop right now do not use this company. Save yourself the stress and headache and money that this company will cause you. Everything they tell you on the phone from the beginning is all lies. Trust me. Call Idaho Interlock in Boise on Orchard Street! They are the one and only company that will treat you right, and are honest.

This company SOLD my family a voluntary unit and the local company, they are in bed with, cheerfully install it with the wrong hardware. No one said they have nothing but ONE STAR and “ ZERO STARS IF THEY COULD” ratings. This better work and if I get ONE third world country confused, hard of hearing/hard to understand representative, I am GOING RIGHT FOR THE ATTORNEY GENERAL.

AVOID THIS COMPANY ALL COST!! They set you up to fail … I have 2 vehicles. I used LifeSafer on the one, and Intoxalock on the other. I have NEVER had one problem with LifeSafer. On the other hand, I have NEVER had anything but nightmares & headaches with Intoxalock. Listen, I got a DUI. It was an act of selfishness and carelessness on my part. I deserve the punishment I got, and I take FULL RESPONSIBILITY for my actions. And honestly, I think the ‘interlock device’ concept is great in every way. That said, Intoxalock is a complete scam. It would be impossible for me to cite all the examples from my personal experience. It would require volumes. All I’ll say is this: AVOID this fraudulent company; Warn others to avoid this fraudulent company; and then, contact the Attorney General in your state and begin seeking legal remedies where this fraudulent company is concerned. There are countless lawsuits against this fraudulent company. See about joining one of those … It is now my life’s mission to expose Intoxalock, so that they are no longer able to wreak havoc on people’s lives.

From the very beginning, I’ve had nothing but problems. The reason they’re so good on trust plot is because they’ll call you back and offer your money back but that does not help all the time and the marks against you you can never get through to customer service you turn off your vehicle get out of the vehicle and it goes off without you being in there they charge you $200 extra to re-calibrate it it happens all the time in the end. I am one month out and they just keep on hit me with tons and tons of charges. They said they were not. They are corrupt do not use them.

Worse company false advertising sales rep will bend the truth in order to close the deal, All these hidden fees that they lied about. Even after asking to specify now they have all these random different fees. I never agreed Or signed anything for this to happen but most importantly did not give credit card authorization yet they set up automated drafts with concent. Even when calling and asking from help from management management just crossed their arms like there’s nothing they can do who’s is probable. Basically create more ploblems and time consume rather providing a service. Im sorry to say this but probably one of the most unethical and worse companies I have deal with ever. Def scamming people. Def do research before partnering up. Which was my biggest mistake I mean I lacked awareness which I’m return is a learning lesson so I guess thank u for that lol.

This company is pathetic I had my device for my full 18 months and had it removed it was a pretty cut and dry process until about two months later I start getting calls from them saying they are sending me to collections, now I try to call and obviously I'm mad it takes me 2 hours to speak to a human being and three transfers later I get hung up in because the guy gets upset that I cut him off, I was never beligerant and when I call back and another 45 min later no one can get me to his supervisor, if you want to deal with the computer the entire time is not had but the humans taking calls are pretty pathetic and will just waste more of your valuable time

Absolutely worst company ever a complete scam. The system will shut down and they will call you for payment for their errors. You will be left sitting with a bill for your truck to get towed in to get fixed. Take your chances if you would like but I'm here to tell you save yourself money time and aggravation.
