Asking for a review before receipt of magazine is not good practice

Thank you for your review, however isubscribe ask for a review of our service and your purchase experience, not the magazine itself. We do advise lead times, but understand that you would like the specific start date. I have contacted the publishers for the start date of your subscription and this will be the Jan/Feb issue which can be expected at the start of December. We hope you enjoy the magazine!

I received an email from Isubscribe asking if I would like to resubscribe to the magazine I purchased for my wife last Christmas and if I did I would receive a discount I took up the offer and resubscribed however because I didn't indicate that it was for my wife as previous the company that distributes the magazine will send me a copy and my wife a copy of the same magazine for December they will only correct this from January 17, not happy as isubscribe indicated it was a renewal so why should I have to indicate it was for my wife regardless it should only start when the previous subscription expires

I subscribed to Primitive Quilts and Projects in August and had expected to receive the Fall/Autumn edition. I enquired when to expect the magazine and was advised that I had missed the label deadline for the Autumn edition. Very disappointing.

The which? subscription was advertised with a free online trial and yet Isubscribe did not provide a log in ID or password, I had to apply to which? direct which was time consuming. I felt Isubscribe was using dishonest advertising and i wouldnt use them again

I felt lied to about what I was able to purchase using a gift card as the magazine subscription I wanted only accepted direct debit. I was told by the telephone operator that it is in the small print but on my main card it stated that I could choose from over a thousand magazines. The website was awfully unclear and didn't explain properly that I couldn't use the gift voucher on certain magazines so I ended up having to ring your helpline twice where I felt my enquire was handled without empathy. Finally, when I had gone back into select a magazine that I really didn't want (as I couldn't buy the marketing magazine I wanted - not even offsetting the value against the magazine subscription and then payin the remainder) I ended up having an invalid card that had already been activated. I was given two £20 codes to make up the £40 voucher total as an additional code I was given on the phone also had been redeemed and so was not accepted. The pricing was unclear for magazine subscriptions too as a few times I selected a magazine, only to get to check out and find it costed more so I couldn't buy it with my gift card. I ended up buying something just for the sake of it as my friends had gone to the trouble to get me a gift card so I could choose the subscription I wanted- unfortunately it was not made clear to them at purchase that I would not be able to buy the one I specifically wanted. An unfortunate gift and a real pain to implement. It irks me that the gift card was for £40 but the subscription was for slightly less than that amount and no clear mention of what happens to that extra money has been made. I think the miscommunication on the card and the short-changing is borderline dishonest and the only saving grace is that your company is at least opening a channel of communication so you can listen and hopefully act upon their grievances.

Dear Mr Capitanio, Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. Firstly, I would just like to apologise on behalf of us all at iSUBSCRiBE that your purchase was not made easy. I understand receiving a gift card from a family member or friend can be an exciting time, especially if you already have an idea on what you would like. I do apologise that the original magazine title you opted to select could not be redeemed with your voucher. We do advise to all of our customers that our gift cards cannot be used against any direct debit offers. This is clearly displayed on the back of your gift card and is also listed on our terms and conditions page on our main site. Unfortunately, as all direct debits orders are an ongoing payment and not handled by us we simply cannot redeem the voucher with these offers. In regards to the costing of the subscriptions, the particular publishers of the magazine set these prices. If you use a gift card on a purchase that is less than the gift card you will then have the remaining credit on the gift card to use against another order, or if the cost of the subscription greater than the gift card the customer will need to make an additional payment. This is standard practice with most gift cards. I am sorry that the gift card you had was invalid, we resolved this for you quickly by providing two £20 vouchers so you could continue placing your order. I hope this helps to explain in depth a little more and as mentioned before we do apologise for all the inconvenience caused. Kind regards, iSUBSCRiBE

The delivery guideline are shown on the magazine description and also on our website, this would be 6-8 weeks for a bi-monthly subscription. I have sent also sent you an email with the details of your first issue. Kind regards, iSUBSCRiBE

Dear Elizabeth, Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. The £2.50 coupon is emailed to you after you sign up to our newsletter. This email then gives you a code that can be entered onto your order, to bring the price down slightly. Unfortunately, looking over your order you have placed this on a direct debit payment. This will mean the coupon cannot be applied, as this is an ongoing payment and taken by the publishers directly. I apologise for any inconvenience. Kind Regards isubscribe

Hi Antony, Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. Please be advised we are a third party company so as we do not dispatch the magazines we can only provide a guideline of 4-6 weeks for the first issue of a monthly publication. I have contacted the publishers of the particular magazine and sent you a personal email when to expect your first issue. Kind regards, ISUBSCRiBE

I wanted to use my gift card for isubscribe but the ordering system didn't allow me to use it. My email to customer services has been ignored about my request to use the gift card rather than deduct from my account the subs cost. Very disappointed.

Dear Jane, Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. Please be advised looking over your order you selected a direct debit payment for your subscription. Unfortunately, as mentioned on our website gift cards will not be allowed to be used against direct debit payment subscriptions, which is the reason you would not have seen the option to enter in your gift card code. In regards to your email sent, I have checked over your details and cannot see any earlier messages sent to us, for which we apologise for. I would just like to confirm our email team will always respond to our customers within 48 hours of the sent message. We apologise in this case, yours was not and can only assume this was a technical error. Kind regards, ISUBSCRiBE

It's pointless asking me to do a review when I have received nothing from you yet.

I do not understand why you charge so much more for a one-off whole year's payment than you do for a monthly direct debit. This makes no sense to me as you have all the money straight away and yet charge a hefty premium for receiving it. I do not wish to engage in direct debits, preferring to pay for things in full at the time of purchase. I will certainly be giving you a wide berth in future if you continue this highly unjust practise.

Dear Avril, Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. As we are a third party company the prices and terms are set by the publishers, they do tend to offer more discount on direct debit subscription. We do our best to agree on the most competitive prices and terms. We will take your comments on-board going forward.

I am confused that I am being asked to send feedback when I have to wait four to six weeks before receiving the magazine. You see I will be away and leaving my 82 year old husband I would have loved to get the magazine to give to him before I go so he may have it to read when I'm gone. He used to ride in his young days and is much interested in the old British motorcycles.

Hi Elva, Thank you for taking time to review us. As we offer a large range of titles we can only offer the delivery guideline of 4-6 weeks when the order is placed, this is noted on our site. I have now contacted the particular publishers and sent you an email over with details of when your husband will receive his first issue.

I cannot understand why I am being asked to write a review for a product that has not arrived. I was sent a very vague email saying my first magazine would arrive in 4-6 weeks. I did not expect to pay and then wait so long. Very poor service, which I shall not use again.

Hi Pauline, Thank you for taking time to review us. As we offer a large selection of magazine we are only able to provide guidelines for the delivery time when the order is placed as the time can vary from each magazine we offer. I appreciate that 4-6 weeks can seem like a long time to wait; as the delivery labels are printed weeks advance this is why we allow this time frame. I have sent you an email with additional information of your order.

They took my money on 28 March from my bank account £53 for a subscription for the Tablet. The Tablet say the money has never been sent to them. I have never received the paper as at 11 April.
