“Everything went smoothly with the transfers so we d I'd not have to worry about timings. Hotel Savoy Palace was lovely. One receptionist at first hotel was somewhat unhelpful but otherwise all was fine.”

“We had a very enjoyable weekend. The informative guide took us to places we couldn't have reached on our own and we picked up a lot of the history about the race. The travel arrangements worked well and the Palazzo Ravizza Hotel was excellent. The race was delayed by circa.1.5 hours and it was a long time to sit on the grandstand benches (5 hours) without access to the bars and cafes below for drink, food and toilets. The guide took us to the Cathedral but many of us had paid to see it on Saturday. We didn't really feel part of the Contrada Dinner and we enjoyed better food on the other evenings.”

“Absolutely first class from start to finish. The private water taxi from the airport to the hotel in Venice made us feel like VIPs, and the hotel was beautiful and situated in a perfect location for all our activities. Our room overlooked the lagoon and was definitely worth the upgrade, while all the hotel staff would bend over backwards to deliver a perfect service. The itinerary for the short break was ideal as it gave us plenty to do but also time for us to explore at our own pace. The only slight downside was our Venice vouchers weren't accepted at st. Marks basilica, and as this was right at the end of our trip we didn't get a chance to see inside. The Doge's palace was fantastic though (voucher and queue jump accepted there no problem). All in all a wonderful trip to mark my partners 30th birthday.”

“Excellent service from Hannah and the team. Verona is a lovely city with great restaurants and cafes. You eat at moderately priced places or more! Italy isn't cheap but it is beautiful. Trip to Lake Garda was excellent as was the tour round Isola Garda. We decided not to bother with the time in Simeone as it was absolutely heaving; instead we went back to Verona and had a brilliant time just watching all the activities in the square. Thoroughly recommend.”

“Everything ran according to plan. The seats at La Scala were good, the car pick up to and from Malpensa very smooth, hotel staff friendly and efficient. The only slight disappointment was that we had not expected to have to pay the transport cost to the Last Supper. When the guide suggested she rang for a taxi we didn't realise we would be paying for it. Only a small point but perhaps the itinerary needs to be clarified, especially as the holiday was not cheap.”

I am a little confused in regards to the taxi as usually the guide walks you to Santa Maria delle Grazie and then when your tour of The Last Supper is complete, you walk back to your hotel (around a 10-15mins walk). The guide does not normally arrange a taxi. Kind regards Hannah

“We had as really excellent four days three nights. the taxis both from and to the airport were punctual, clean, driver attired in a suit (makes a change these days) helpful with the luggage and also with my mobility in and out of the taxi. The hotel was very good, attentive, staff happy and extremely helpful. I say this because they went on line and got our return boarding passes. Breakfast very good and on our return one evening we had the room service but served in the atrium which was suggested. The room was very pleasant and the bathroom had everything we would require. The bath was a jacuccie style and very modern. As for the Opera and everything connected, no words would be enough to say how much we enjoyed it all, our seats were in a wonderful position , at the right level with the stage and especially when it came to reading the words in English is was but an upward glance. The Verona pass was very useful, we used it for the buses but was not valid for taxis or trains when we went to the lake. Extremely useful for visiting monuments etc. In all a wonderful trip with good flights to and from the UK and thank you at Italian Short Breaks for all the effort you put into these trips. Both my friend and I will be using your services again, hopefully in the not too distant future. We have Iceland in mind! Margaret Hook”

“Dear Hannah We returned home today from our outstanding A la Carte weekend celebration for my special birthday. May I thank you for the extra special help in organising chauffeur service on our day to Lake Maggiore, and arranging for opera tickets being delivered to our hotel on arrival. “Everything very well organised except for a minor misunderstandi g with water taxis on return to airport. Would defiantly recommend hotel metropole and weekend a la carte. Would use again at next possible opportunity.”

“Trip was amazing. Our guide was very knowledgable . The hotel was o k we managed to change to a better room. The food on the atmosphera tram was excellent but we had a problem finding the tram the map showing us where to meet the tram was very poor and we found it difficult to locate the tram. Don Giovanni at the la Scala was a big treat amazing.”

“The whole trip was totally smooth and enabled us to enjoy our honeymoon in Venice, even the flights were on time over which you have no control! Transfer to the hotel via water taxi was fun and the hotel Itself was outstanding. Attention to detail was evident in every aspect and the staff were charming and helpful. A foodie paradise even the bar snacks were something else. Our visits were just what we wanted and the whole experience was perfect. Thank you very much indeed.”

“We went to Venice and Il Ballo Del Doge with Italian Shorts Breaks. Everything was flawlessly organised. We were treated like royalty the entire weekend. Everything was top of the range and we had an amazing time. If you like a little luxury and being taken care of you must try Italian Short breaks.”

“This was an very well organised trip. Everything went according to plan. Even when our plane out was cancelled due to fog, staff at the office were available to make the necessary re-arrangements. All the hotels, and organised tours were top quality, and our tickets for the opera at La Scala were superb. In particular, Hannah was extremely helpful in putting our holiday break together.”

“Everything was wonderful.Airport transfers were waiting for us both ways. Our private guide Alex was excellent so professional and knowledgeable. Our hotel was very good the staff were very friendly and the location was fantastic. The seats for the opera were also very good 6 rows from the stage.”
