After visiting the elk mill outlet to buy a gift voucher I was asked by the young lady on the cash desk whet I wanted I told her then was completely ignored as she started rummaging through online deliveries she then walked off into the store room came back still ignoring me and someone else who was waiting to be served I couldn't believe when she got a file out and started searching through that .guess what I walked out and won't be going again. Went to oldham branch where I was greeted with a nice smile and very good service .

Took my parents here today so they could buy grandson a birthday present the male floor staff that we spoke to were nice and helpful.. Once we got to the till the young girl just stared at us, no hello, how are u nothing.. My mother who is almost 70yrs old said to the girl "smile" she didn't!! So rude.. Puts u off from spending your money when there are people like this.!! Politeness goes a long way.

I bought Nike air forces in black and I have to say they were very very uncomfortable,the sole was not strong and the knitting in the Nike logo was not strong I would take them back but they refused to take them back because they thought I deliberately broke then ????

I had the misfortune of needing an exchange for a xmas gift , I was not allowed a credit note or an exchange without a receipt , not a good way to keep your customers happy . so I returned with the receipt and this time they would nt refund the item because my debit card had no signature on it , well most of the time you just put your pin in , but because your shop want a signature I was not allowed a refund, so I left the shop fuming..... then I stopped signed my card and went back in, a different sales girl served me but the manager was obviously saying something behind me because the sales girl kept looking at her then asked if she should do the refund or not, the manager then said no don't do it her cards not signed and the sales assistant said yes it is. so finally feeling like I was breaking the law and doing something illegal I got my refund. I promise I shall never purchase anything from JD store again. I understand my card should be signed , but all she had to say sign your card and sign here. job done. my go through the rigmarole of leaving the store , signing my card out side , to go in a try again. I have workied in retail for 8 years by the way.
