First and last experience buying from John pye. Bought a 13 piece saucepan set for over £90. Did not view due to it being in original box so this I know is my fault. When I picked item up the saucepans were absolutely stinking dirty, scratched and well worn with burns at the bottoms. Honestly I have thrown away better saucepans. I will just put it down to experience and lose the £90 but want everyone who considering to buy from them please view before you buy and don’t make the same mistake as me. Items gone straight in the bin where they should of gone in the beginning

Honestly, why people are using this auction is a mystery. The BUYERS PREMIUM is 22% plus VAT is added. Buyers Premium, how did the public ever fall for this one? In effect for your custom, you are being charged an extra 22%, without the customers they have nothing. Most of their auctions are loaded with a minimum starting bid..... Why? Heres what else you should remember ' If it's got a plug, don't be a mug '

I purchased a wall paper stripper from them and went to us it today .... bang it blew up sending boiling water all around the bedroom. There could have been a nasty accident so was very lucky. Question I want to ask is do they pat test electrical items. I didnt have anything on the stripper so doubt if they do. Surely, that is illegal!?

don't make them anymore successful they sell a load of junk hidden in boxes nothing works total ripoff and then you pay 44% tax and to top it off your waiting hours to pay then hours in queues standing in corridors with pallet trucks back and forth very dangerous to pick up your rubbish, wish I never heard of them they should locate a skip outside because that will be where it ends up

Purchased a vehicle from their Marchington branch. they provide very small sized images so one cannot zoom in to look for damages etc. John Pye had stated minor dents only. we went to collect and noticed the cars windscreen was fully damaged. both headlights were damaged, bonnet and suspension damaged. we asked why this was not mentioned and only small pictures put on advert. The manager called LEE says they put what they want in their vehicle description and he was very rude and arrogant. I have been a loyal customer for a long time but the manager and the dishonesty has put me off and will never buy again from them. Would advise all potential buyers to be very careful in dealing with this branch and it's rude manager. picture of car attached. not showing or has in description the windscreen damage, headlight, suspension etc.

Total Shambles, They display their products with delivery service and when the bill comes there is no delivery service. You complain and complain, no replies from emails. Phone them and they request payment regardless otherwise you will incur charges. It is a massive scam, these guys are clever and play on the fact of high storage costs if they have to hold items. But they don't explain why they advertised with delivery and don't deliver. Its just a ploy. You will not get an honest answer from them. You will not even get help. They are a cowboy outfit, liars with strong hand tactics to force you to pay. They don't care about how they advertise their goods. Yes you will get some dodgy goods from them but don't pay over the odds for them, know your limit.

I Took John Pye To Court John Pye Auction commencing Monday 7th of October I viewed an item through their website, the item being an Arlo 5 camera security system, the box was sealed and the packaging stated it was a 5 camera system. As I was not able to get to the auction I phoned the office at JP and asked some questions re the item, IE was it a 5 camera system in the box, I was told yes. cutting a long story short I bid and won at £240, went to pay and collect on the 10th October. while in the sale room I opened the box, surprise surprise there was only 1 camera in the box. I asked to speak to a manager, a middle aged Lady, HER FIRST INITIAL IS J, came over, I explained the situation, after convo back and forth she said that the person I spoke to never said anything of the sort, I again assured her I did have that convo and if he had have given me any cause for CONCERN AS TO WHAT I WAS BIDDING ON I would not have bid. HeR attitude was arrogant, dismissive and condescending, she blankey refused to consider any resolution. I told her that I would take John Pye to the smalls claim court, smirked, saying 'You cant take us to court, we are an auction business, Have a lovely day sir, goodbye. I left the site, went straight home and completed the process on line and submitted a court claim for £240 plus expenses the very same day. The courts notified JP instantly of the claim via email as soon as I pressed the proceed button claim no 099MC005. On the Monday I received a phone call from a manager at John Pye who was very apologetic (YEAH NOW IM TAKING YOUR ASSES TO COURT) and informed me they wanted to give me a complete refund including my expenses, I asked her was this change of heart and attitude due to the fact they had received the summons from the court, she said it was. I received the next day. They have managed to stop me writing a review on their official site, as they know that this information is going to open them up to more claims against them. John Pye treats its customers with contempt and arrogance and do not conduct themselves in a honest way. They do not operate in an open and honest manner, they do not have an open box policy, the stop you from opening boxes to check what you think you are bidding on is actually in the box. Expect to buy faulty, damaged or missing goods, open boxes no matter what and check whats inside. plug in electrical items and check they work. The moral of this story is, if you ripped off by John Pye, TAKE THEM TO COURT itS a simple and easy process and takes 5 minutes on the internet, it cost £25 and if your claim is just and correct they'll settle out of court. DONT LET THIS COMPANY CONTINUE TO OPERATE IN THIS WAY. if anyone can copy and paste this and put it on JP official review page that would be great, they have banned me

Faulty items being sold with less descriptions. Also adding VAT and BP22% is like small print. They should show the total amount as another column when you bid. I could see people buying second had goods from John pye almost same as we get it online elsewhere just cos VAT and 22%BP is on top of bidding price! Rip off John pye! Be straight and dont fool people, put the whole cost to customer in the bidding page, so that people of aware of how much they are bidding.

I bought 4 rechargeable lamps and 2 Michelin tyre inflators, 1 lamp did not work at all and the cigarette lighter adapter for in car power was broken on 1 of the inflators. The following week I bought 6 pairs of mens shoes , all had been worn a lot and 2 had extensive wear including thick caked mud on the sole. I also bought 3 sets of headphones which all worked fine. I wouldn,t buy any type of shoe here again.

Wow made an incredible saving on a brand new MADE.com sofa. Even after renting a van to collect I saved well over 2k.

I purchased a AGA wood-burning stove from John Pye, was band new bankrupt stock. The price was 70% less than the high street. We picked up from Marchington which took about 30mins, the place is huge.
