Hi Imelda, The plastic has to be waterproof to avoid the damp soil damaging other peoples parcels, so this is not biodegradable yet. All other packaging used is compostable

“Hi all, plants arrived in excellent shape. I was pleased to see cardboard boxing and paper wrapping to be recycled but I don't really understand why plastic bags were necessary around each pot? If essential they could be biodegradable plastic?”

Hi, plants are grown in moist soil which will leak out and damage the box that the order is in and also other peoples parcels, so it is essential that they are wrapped in plastic to keep the moisture contained. We are working to find a suitable biodegradable waterproof bag that is strong enough for the purpose. All other items are compostable
