“Felt a bit unhappy with the continual upselling of the staff. For only £ 8 tyre more well can offer you.................For only £12 we can balance your wheels............... I think the tyres were good but did not enjoy the process at all.”

“Rubbish service, do not use!! Having asked for C rating tyres to be fitted, they fitted E. Didn't fit my hubcaps back on properly so lost one on the way home. Phoned customer service who passed my number on to the appropriate person to help, WHO DID NOT CALL ME BACK!”

“Wanted new tyres on front. Cannot understand why back tyres were put on front and new tyres put on back. I was not happy with this, because back tyres had to be rebalanced. Just a way to make money. Not Happy”

Our staff are highly trained to understand both the requirements of our customers and the best fitment for tyres to their vehicles. Although I am unable to comment on your specific situation as I do not have all the details to hand, I can confirm that the recommendation from both tyre manufacturers and TyreSafe is that it is more beneficial to fit the new tyres to the rear wheels, regardless of whether the vehicle is front or rear drive. Research suggest that if the new tyres are fitted to the rear wheels, water on the road surface is better dispersed, which improves straight line braking ability. I am sorry that this was not communicated to you during your purchase and apologise for any confusion or concern that this has caused and I can assure you that we offer a just and honest service and do not ask our staff to rotate tyres as a way to make money. “With a very good and courteous service from start to finish. I was informed of a tracking fault on my car. If they had not have noticed or told me about this fault, the worst could have happened. They found BOTH lock nuts on the track rods loose. This was actually found in front of me, as I was watching how they carried out the tracking. Very interesting, impressive and a job very well done. Thank you Lewes branch once again.”
