“The process was smooth once I used my iPad; didn’t work in my phone. I’ve used the older meter and have to say, the strips were much easier to use from the bottle. The new strips are a pain having to use scissors to open a packet … that’s crazy! Not even a little place to tear it open.”

“One problemnI have with your meter is that the ketone only go up to 8 mmol/dL. I am fasting on a one week cycle, meaning I eat one big meal and then fast for the rest of the week. This has been working great for me, except my ketone went "high" meaning over 8 on Saturday. I ate on Sunday and I was back in range by Monday. It sure would be nice to be able to see numbers on the ketoside above 8 if thus is technically possible. On the glucose side it goes up to 600. I have some type 1 diabetic friends who have been told that if they get over 300 especially if they have ketone to head to the emergency room. Your meter does not quit until 600 on the glucose side. Maybe if a future model you could have a special expert long term fasting mode where you could get higher ketone numbers. Conventional wisdom in long term fasting is that 8 is the top of the normal range. DKA symptoms are a combination of ketone and blood sugar. Since my blood sugar was under 100 I did not worry about ketoasidosis but it would have been nice to have a higher upper end on the meter. Keep up the good work.”
