“Not all the sticks are the same length, if I get a shorter one, I feel cheated.”

Hi there! Thanks for your message, and I'm sorry for the inconsistency with our sticks. Shaun here, one of the co-founders. There normally is some level of variation in how dry the sticks are and a lot can affect this (e.g. level of fat in the organic beef, drying room conditions, ambient conditions, that they are made via natural fermentation, etc) Do you have any photos that you could please share, as well as the best before date? They are still made with the exact same ingredients and process and all sticks should always be over 25g per stick. In fact, they are often made to size before they are fermented and dried which sometimes means that the sticks are longer/heavier than they should be after production, and if on the larger end, we make the decision to give the extra product to the customer (good for the customer, not so good for the maker!) If you have a kitchen scale at home, it would be great if you could please verify whether the smaller sticks are still over 25g (or are in fact less, which they definitely should not be). Thanks so much!

“The product is an all time favourite of mine but the new packaging makes it almost impossible to open the product. I am needing to carry scissors around with me to open the snack.”

“We actually noticed these were very different to the beef sticks we have purchased in the past. These were more like the Pork ones which were quite moist, soft and light in colour - which my children didn’t like!!! We won’t buy them in bulk again as now I have two big boxes and no one is eating them”

“I was looking for jerky without all the nitrites and other additives and this certainly fits the bill. I bought the sticks and the natural sea salt jerky. The sticks are lovely and would be my go to for travelling for a protein snack, the natural jerky however tasted just like meat - but not in a nice way. I would have liked more flavour, maybe a bit more smoky woody taste as well as the salt. Won't buy again sadly so still on the lookout for natural jerky.”

“We got the sampler pack. I went half with my son for the one and only one I tried . the standard beef flavour one thought it'd be the safest . I did not love it . My 8 year old son did though. He asked to take them to school.”

“I was really chuffed to come across a product that didn’t have any of the typical “nasties” so bought a starter pack to try. I wasn’t expecting the sticks to be as salty as they were - and that made me a little hesitant to offer that as a regular lunchbox snack. The jerkies though, were a great snack for us grown ups!”

Our jerky is drier than the typical American-style candy jerky, but we definitely want to make sure our jerky and snack sticks are soft to eat and have the perfect level of moisture inside.
