I am not sure what type , if any, protective coating is applied in the manufacturing process so I coated one with clear nail polish. It did not change the appearance . I'll use a few more times before I coat the others ..

“Service was great. Fast shipping, easy to order. The product purchased was what I had ordered. The skull printing was not as it looks on the website. It was a little difficult to tell that they were skulls. The edges of the marker were not completely round, but for the price it was not a bad deal. Other than the background patter that mad it difficult to see the skulls. It was okay.”
