“Ordered different colored cap, bolt and valve caps. Wanted matching color for valve caps but had to settle with an off color match. Decided to have a couple words written on cap in an olde English style lettering. Letter spacing and curvature could have been better. Won’t use cap.”
“I ordered a couple of caps for use with my gravel, road and mtn bike however, the flat caps don't work for a carbon steerer tube with an expansion type nut. These caps are only compatible with star type nuts because they are to tall. So the caps for my gravel and road bike cannot be installed. Also the flat caps don't have a lip around them on the bottom inside to keep them nice and aligned in the steerer tube. Every other steerer tube cap I own has this lip. I ended up putting the caps on my other mtn and older steel bike but those bikes are not used very often and were not the intended reason for the purchase. It would be nice if KUSTOMCAPS would provide this information regarding compatibility with their caps.”

Thanks for your comments. Our flat caps are, in fact, compatible with most carbon fork/expansion plug setups. I run them on all my bikes with carbon forks. Sometimes it requires a different type of expansion plug (one that works with "regular" headset caps, but it can be accomplished in most cases. Additionally, the lip isn't really necessary if installed properly.
Since there are literally thousands of combos of headset setups, we have to relay on pre-purchase conversations with our customers to ensure fitment. We are always available to discuss.
Feel free to return anything you can't use for a refund.

I was very disappointed to find the color of the 45 RPM record insert of the headset cap I ordered was not the eye-popping white as shown in the photo but was a dull silvery gray color. I commented to the staff that I was not satisfied with the cap's color. To their credit, I was offered a refund. I declined a refund and will keep the cap due to its unique design.
I would suggest replacing the photo of the white record insert cap with one showing its true color.”
