“It felt like quite a big step-up to the B2 course (lower level), especially with the listening, but Gabor (our teacher) helped us through it and by about half-way through, I began to feel more comfortable and was starting to understand more of the oral recordings. One big difference that I have noticed is that I now understand most of what Gabor is saying to us in German. Gabor's persistence with verbs with prepositions is also beginning to pay-off for us. I think the whole group has improved again. Thanks very much Gabor.”

“I really enjoyed learning with Cactus, the teacher and methods used made learning fun and interesting, and we quickly progressed. I used to think I wouldn't like online classes but now I know that with the right teacher and methods, it can be just as good or even better than face-to-face.”

“I am currently studying Italian and Spanish online with Cactus. The courses are great and reasonably priced, with discounts offered often. The teachers are native speakers and they are brilliant and feel like I am making a lot of progress! The support from Cactus is also very good, with an online portal where I can communicate with the admin back office and the teachers. Very happy customer!”

“Very impressed with online lessons, the group was small and there were opportunities to chat. Carmen the teacher was very friendly and knowledgeable and supportive. Online is so convenient as it's quite tiring after work to study but I'm able to enjoy the class at home and not travel anywhere. I'm doing the second course and looking forward to it.”

“The lessons are very engaging, the teacher is very patient and makes sure that everyone participates in the lesson. In every lesson all the language competences are practiced. The students are lovely, the environment is comfortable where we feel that is safe to make mistakes (which approached as learning opportunities). Whilst there is no book and the lessons are not boring all the activities align with the learning objective of the lesson. The lessons are easy enough for students to follow and they also include certain level of difficulty that challenge students to keep prgressing in their learning. At the end of every activity the teacher formatively assesses students learning generally through questioning Overall I am very happy with the teacher's methodology, the learning environment and my progress.”

“Brilliant - I am learning German and Portuguese. I loved the face to face courses before pandemic but as you get higher in proficiency level it was difficult to find enough people locally to form a class so online class is a brilliant solution. I still feel like we have a little community within each class even though we are located all over UK.”

“I have been studying with Cactus for a few years and really enjoy the online classes. There are also in-person classes available which are also good. The courses are well structured and the teachers are excellent in my experience. I think it is reasonably priced for the amount of content.”
