“The choice of language teachers is excellent. There are always 30 percent diacounts which make a reasonably priced course even more affordable.”

“I’ve now done 4 x 10 week Italian courses with Cactus. They are weekly via Zoom. The experience has been superb throughout, our teacher Roberta Guzzo is the perfect mix of encouraging, challenging and patient. I already have my next course booked!”

“I signed up for the Beginner 1 Cantonese class (online course). Our tutor, Ka Yin Chow, was excellent. She was professional, engaging, warm, helpful and patient. Her depth of knowledge was incredible, and she always managed to make learning enjoyable, interactive and fun. My confidence in both speaking and listening have grown enormously over the 10 weeks and I will be carrying on with the follow up course soon. Could not recommend enough.”

“This is a fantastic way to learn a language. With weekly, direct access to a tutor (I learn via Zoom) and working with a small group of other students, you soon begin to gain confidence in all aspects. There is plenty of opportunity to check your understanding of a subject and by also using a prescribed workbook, you can practice outside of class if you want. It's fun too, with plenty of activities that make the language 'come alive' and relate to real situations. There are various levels you can start at and a pre entry quiz to help you decide which level is best for you. I think the cost is good for a 10 week course of 2 hour lesson but Cactus often have good discounts too, so look out for these! I'm just completing my 3rd Elementary level and I feel so much more confident in my understanding of written and spoken Italian”

“I have already done two conversation classes (competent level) with two different teachers and both courses have been really enjoyable. Lots of good and varied activities as prompts for discussions with useful quick recaps on certain grammar points. I went to Spain for a few days after the second course and found that my fluency had really improved. I have already enrolled for a third course.”

“I studied Japanese with Cactus. The course was great, very informative and well set out lessons. My teacher (Rie Wakayama) was amazing, cannot give her enough credit! She is so knowledgeable and set out the lessons perfectly. The homework was very helpful and all my questions were answered clearly. I have already signed up for the next course. 🙂”

“Absolutely loved the Portuguese beginner 2 with Sandra, immersive, good pace and great fun.Easy on line access with Zoom, small ,friendly group where we practice , I had tried apps previously but needed the grammatical structure.Already booked my next Portuguese course as I want to continue to learn & improve 👍.Highly recommend Cactus!”

“I have been learning Danish with Cactus for over 2 years, progressing through the different levels. It is a small friendly group, so we all get the chance to participate. Our online teacher is patient, and also very flexible if we need to change meeting dates. We get lots of practice in speaking and reading Danish. I recommend Cactus for anyone wishing to progress with learning a language.”
