“As yet I have to try the standard grass seed as it is going to be used for overseeding soon. The shady pla es grass seed I've used before it very good.”
“Have only just overseeded my tired front lawn. Been waiting for the warmer conditions.
So on Sunday put starter fertiliser down, overseeded with classic grass seed then it all went wrong.
Was using 6 x bags of miracle grow lawn top dressing and a specially bought lawn levelling rake to complete the task. The top dressing was nothing short of disgraceful, more stones than Brighton beach.
This has caused me 10 hours of extremely hard graft but not able to remove the stones.
Miracle grow are “carrying out” an investigation. I really don’t have any confidence in their product.
I am hoping though that lawnsmith product shines through.
Time will now tell.”
“My lawn, like many in UK is clay and hard. Getting this into soil is hard. Then taking the soul out of the tubes is hard..has to be done tube by tube. Saw YouTube video with screws in wood which you push through...still difficult and need to finish job tube by tube.”

“Te seed mixture I bought last year is very disappointing. It contains about 25% of a seed which looks like a weed- possibly scutchgrass - which grows much faster than the background grass seed. It completely spoils the new lawn I planted.”
