About Leonard Buildings & Truck Accessories:

Established in the Blue Ridge foothills of North Carolina in 1963, Leonard Buildings and Truck Accessories is a privately owned retailer, manufacturer and distributor whose product lines include storage buildings, cargo and utility trailers, truck covers and accessories, carports, playhouses, pet and animal structures, gazebos, and outdoor furniture. We serve our residential, commercial and government customers through our 59 factory outlet stores in the five-state region of North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia and Tennessee.

Seventy percent of our business last year resulted from repeat customers and referrals mostly of which were from family member to family member. We hear a lot of this: "I am here because when I was growing up my grandfather had a Leonard building in his backyard . . ." We take pride in serving and taking care of folks as if they were our family.

Over the years, our company's focus on quality, craftsmanship and customer service has allowed each of our company-owned stores to be integrated partners in their local communities. We encourage employees to look for ways to make a difference around town and to help out worthy causes.

“I have purchased a tri fold and step up bars for my megacab from them in the last two months and had great luck so far. We had to cancel our spray liner due to the employee quitting without notification. But said they would start taking appointments once the new individual was trained.”

“We bought a bed cover from Leonard Buildings and Truck Accessories. The dealer where we purchased the truck told us to get the same cover would cost more and take 1.5 hours to install. Leonard's cost less for the same cover and took 30 minutes to install. Good job guys.”

“I ordered a leer cap for a 2018 Silverado ltz 6.2L. The people were nice. However, they told me it would be 1-1.5 hours. It’s took almost 3 hours. I was late to another appointment. Additionally, the entire time I was waiting, one of the employees continued to lecture to me about his thoughts on how the human body works and continued to tout unsolicited nonsensical ramblings of cellular interactions and how all of medicine has it wrong. He continued so far as to give me his “research and poems” regarding such ideas. I’m all for believing in what you want but please, don’t push your ideas upon others. It’s uncomfortable. On top of all of this, they scratched my tailgate in multiple spots. I call them that day and they told me to bring it back. The problem is, I was so uncomfortable and not sure if they were capable of actually fixing it in a timely manner that I just decided to pay and have it fixed somewhere els. They have allot of great reviews so this maybe an isolated incedince. But it was certainly awful for this one customer and they cost me additional time and money after they gouged my brand new truck whilst pervasively pushing their “medical adivice”.”

“I purchased a Leer truck topper from Leonard in Raleigh. Once ordered, received and installed, I noticed that a side window was crooked, and the rear glass didn't open sufficiently. The Leonard staff got the topper sent back to Leer to have the window addressed, and had longer struts installed to help with the rear glass range. I couldn't have asked for better customer service. Thanks.”

“Purchased a retractable truck bed cover. After 5 attempts the installers still could not get it to work properly. Finally told this is the best we can do. I finally contacted the manufacturer and obtained different mounting brackets and installed myself. Should have been done by Leonard. I think I should get the $85 I paid for installation refunded. Since the initial review of one star, they have refunded the $85.”

“Recently purchased a 7 x 12 single axle trailer. Overall I like the trailer and trails along well. However, the front skin is not bonded enough and makes rattle and periodic bumping noise when driving interstate. I just completed 10hr drive to FL. The noise was annoying.”
