About Leonard Buildings & Truck Accessories:

Established in the Blue Ridge foothills of North Carolina in 1963, Leonard Buildings and Truck Accessories is a privately owned retailer, manufacturer and distributor whose product lines include storage buildings, cargo and utility trailers, truck covers and accessories, carports, playhouses, pet and animal structures, gazebos, and outdoor furniture. We serve our residential, commercial and government customers through our 59 factory outlet stores in the five-state region of North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia and Tennessee.

Seventy percent of our business last year resulted from repeat customers and referrals mostly of which were from family member to family member. We hear a lot of this: "I am here because when I was growing up my grandfather had a Leonard building in his backyard . . ." We take pride in serving and taking care of folks as if they were our family.

Over the years, our company's focus on quality, craftsmanship and customer service has allowed each of our company-owned stores to be integrated partners in their local communities. We encourage employees to look for ways to make a difference around town and to help out worthy causes.

“People need to be extremely vigilant with this company. They scammed me out of my money. They logged into my banking page unknowingly to me too and totally caused damages to my financial life simply because I wanted to better my life with investment. This company should not be allowed to operate anymore. They should be shut down entirely and be investigated thoroughly. “They brought my building when the ground was saturated but the delivery man drove through the yard and made a tremendous mess out of my yard deep ruts everywhere so far Leonards has done nothing to correct this problem and I mean I have some big big ruts and a big big hole in my yard I will never buy another building from them”

“Well, Well, My wife dropped the Grand Highlander off for the 8TH TIME!! for the trailer lights, after they told us they needed a new part (due to the wiring melted across the muffler after they installed it). When she returned home she said they told her they installed the part its all good now. after she arrived home couple hours later my suspicion was to try it. I did on 2 different trailers, 1 of them 6months old Kaufman landscape trailer, GUESS WHAT?? they have the turn signals backwards. Thats what I brought it in for 2 months ago!! They NEVER test anything before it leaves. I will Never recommend these people to anyone. I wish the owner would contact me. there are more details he should know about 252-767-2705”

“Brought truck in to get two side windows tinted ..they charged $140 to tint two lousy windows and left drivside door loose where they removed door panel and also left big a** Stain n drvr seat .. picked truck up late nite..called next day no response ..never do business wit them again no way to run business ..”

“Terrible experience, bought a leer truck cap for and paid to have it installed. After multiple visits the truck cap was still not installed. Called H & H in Pensacola they fixed everything and had it working within in hour. Do not waste your money and time. Just go to H & H in Pensacola.”

“When buying a building from these people, they deceive you and not tell you that you’re paying a rental fee while you’re buying( said it’s in the contract), which is 45% of your monthly payment, just paid 8 grand for a building that was originally $3500. Read your contract people because they will not go over it with you. When you call in to get a payoff, they give you the run around. I will not recommend this business to anyone.”

“I wish I had never heard of "LEONARD" !!. I purchased a tonneau bed cover for $3500 with lifetime limited warranty, it came in with wrong color, it took two months for replacement. The latch on the left side broke and I was told that was not covered. I purchased bed rug $350 that was cut 1/2" short and was told grey spray paint would cover it up. The rain shields had to be replaced when the window was raised, it hit the shield then retracted. So far the mud flaps have worked properly.”

“This place has the worst business I have ever dealt with. The store located in bristol va had told me when I ordered my headlights that it would be 3 to 4 weeks to get them. I called after 5 weeks because I had not received any notifications and was told they hadn't shipped yet to give it a couple more weeks...flash forward 6 MONTH'S! I call and I was told the headlights had arrived. My wife goes to pick them up the next day and they are no where to be found in the store. Long story short, I got my money back and will never deal with this place again.”

“I bought an Under Cover teaneau cover and it had been a night mare trying ti get it. I was told it was delivered to the wrong location. I called that location and they do not have it. They also installed a defective bug shield and now want me to wait for them to claim the warranty. They should have ordered a new one a delta with the warranty after I got a good one. I could go on but I am specifically referring to the location on Rte 401 in garner nc. They are horrible to deal with”

“I went to this store to purchase a 6x10 open trailer when their employee go to hook the trailer to my vehicle I notice a major impacted dent in the front end of the trailer that had broken a weld. I inquired about a repair or a discounted rate due to the damage. I was told by their staff that someone would reach out to me to either repair the trailer or issue some type of discount due to the damage. This was on Saturday May 20th I was told I would be contacted by Tuesday May 23rd no call no nothing. I call on Thursday May 25th and was told that they haven't received any response on a recourse of action to rectify this situation and no timeline to rectify this issue. I am writing this review to inform people that if they plan on purchasing anything from these people and this business,I would advise them to not purchase anything from this company or do any type of business with these people. The location of this business is in Portsmouth Virginia.”

“Youngsville NC location. I was looking for a trailer for my Polaris Slingshot to fit on that my jeep would pull. The slingshot was able to fit on the trailer but my jeep wasn’t able to pull it. I took the trailer back, they won’t refund me my money, poor costumer satisfaction. Shame on Leonard!!!”

“Leonard, Johnson City Tennessee I had a spray-in bed liner installed on my new truck. I thought it looked great, and my bed is now protected. They recommended I leave the tailgate down for at least 1 day to prevent the newly sprayed sticking between the gate and the bed. A couple of days later, after I closed it, two dents were noticed. I was going to go back to them, but after reading the warranty I didn't. The warranty included the statement, "Leonard does not remove dents". (Would've helped to know this first). So, I had to pay for the damage myself.”

“Customer service. Amazon Customer I received my locking hubs 30 days after ordering them. Requested a refund. They sent a shipping document for the return. My son put the shipping tag on and mailed it. It came back to his house. Requested another shipping label and was informed if I wanted a refund I had to ship them and pay for shipping. I would not recommend this company.”

“Terrible experience , I ordered a cap for my truck in March of 2022, cap was installed a month later and one of the window seals was damaged, also cap was dirty from open transportation from factory with road salt stains all over it, they did not care. New window was ordered and 3 months later it arrived and would not fit, a total replacement truck cap was ordered and finally in January of 2023 it arrived and was installed. I have to say during all of this experience I was not never called regarding updates on my purchase, I had to constantly call down to Leonard to ask were my cap was. How Leonard is in business treating customers like this. Bad Bad customer service, my truck cap cost $3500 which I paid up front.”
