My husband Bought yellow roses for me from our Laceby store (on its opening day!!!!) following the loss of our dog. Within 24 hours several heads had drooped. 3 days later several petals had turned brown and the heads are ready to drop. :) So disappointing at a sad time and unexpected... have bought roses from co-op before and they have lasted beyond 10 days

I've just been in the Co op in Lincoln by the bus station. I know the shop isnt the cheapest but its convenient. There was no queue at the till and was served by someone who has never appeared to not know the meaning of customer service. No please, no thank you and when I asked for a receipt he fiddled with the till and then gave up. Getting a receipt to ensure I've paid the correct amount should not be classed as inconvenience. I dislike self service tills but they would not have treated me any worse than the human who is being paid to assist customers.

Do yourself a favour and start shopping at the more cost effective stores. Lincolnshire coop have significantly increased their prices,,, which is not due primarily to input prices going up,,,, it’s their desire to increase profits. If you are stupid enough to pay the extra,,, then carry on. What you will get is, short supply and significant price increases,,,be smart and support a business that will actually be here in 10 years and stop paying for big boss salaries at Lincolnshire coop.

Went into my local Lincolnshire coop, looking for something for our tea. Came across 2 packs of beef burgers which were out of sale date. Today is 10 November 22,,, items still on sale were 09 November 22. Anyway I said to the jobs worth that these are out of date can I have them discounted please. The answer amazed me. Sorry no it’s company policy to put them in the freezer, find out who made a mistake and reprimand them. So this is how the caring local COOP work,,,, how said is that. I was perfectly willing to take the burgers for my tea,,,, but the coop policy got in the way,,,, how entirely stupid is their policy.

Asked the chief retail officer of Lincolnshire coop what was coop doing for the elderly during the current crisis and got the following. Dear Kevin I think what you are doing for the local community is first class. Today I have visited a number of our stores and had a number of colleagues tell me about the abuse they have had from customers over the last few days. It has been pretty upsetting for them. I find it a little sad that the tone of your e mail follows a similar pattern. We will continue to serve customers with kindness during these unprecedented times. During my store visits I also found it heartwarming the lengths our colleagues are going to in order to look after the vulnerable. We know who they are as we are usually their only point of contact on a daily basis. One colleague told me about a really vulnerable old lady in tears because she couldn’t get what she wanted. Our colleague promised to save her some from the next delivery. Unfortunately the stock didn’t arrive. The colleague got in her car and drove to a competitor retailer in order to get some shopping for the lady before personally delivering it. Our colleagues will continue to do the right thing.
