“Called custr service to place an order. The person who answered was probably in another country-a call center?? I used to speak with a “Maine-LLBean employee”. The shorts I ordered were theoretically identical to those I had ordered for the past 30 years. Two pair cost$60 each and had no liners. Rather than having the LLBean logo stitched on them, it was printed. Tightening the belt was difficult as it keeps slipping. I’ve bought from LLBean for 30-40 years as did my father. Quality standards have slipped BADLY! A real disappointment!!”
“Finished my second snow shoe of 2024 after about 20 total hikes on LLbean snow shoes bought in 2022. The wrap on the Shoes broke at some point on a golf course flat rail …. Put pressure on the metal frame which sheared off … failed about 3/4 of the way. Bright them to the shop at West Leb still cold and wet (the shoes). No receipt …. They could t find my purchase …. Manager said with or without proof of purchase they couldn’t replace the shoe because it was not a manufacturer’s failure. Not buying LLB mean marketing BS that we stand by our products slogan again …. Lost a good customer”
