“Labour charges of £352 for three hours work on a straightforward replacement of a toilet seem very excessive.When challenged the company claim they are in line with national average.Having checked in my locality I know local labour charges are significantly lower.What a pity I did not find that out sooner!Be warned,check first.”

Hi John, We’re sorry that you feel like your complaint was not dealt with to your complete satisfaction. As explained previously via email, the charges were explained in detail before any work was carried out and you agreed to them on both the phone and on the job sheet which you signed. You also paid for the work carried out without hesitation as the work was completed to your satisfaction. We understand that you believe the charges are expensive but we carry out regular checks against our competitors to make sure our prices are competitive and in most cases, we are. We check our prices against medium to nationwide companies but we are unable to compete with sole traders due to the size of our overheads. From experience, we’ve found that customers prefer to work with a company rather than a sole trader due to the quick response to emergencies and the fact that all engineers are fully qualified and insured, giving them a peace of mind. As 99% of our customers would agree, we strive to ensure they receive the best possible service at the best possible prices. We’re disappointed that you weren’t completely satisfied with our service on this occasion, please accept our apologies. Kind regards Customer service team

“Excellent turn around time on initial call to plumber arriving. Work carried out professionally in a friendly manner. Every step explained and costs clearly explained before any work was done. Work done quickly and very reasonable price including parts.”

“From the moment I called to the finished job, a first class service from this team. Engineer that attended the house was very accommodative to OCD cleanliness and due to obscure part needed checked 3 local stores and got the job done quickly. So impressed by the team we have cancelled our British Gas monthly plan for service and repairs and will be calling Local Plumbers going forward. How refreshing to see a young local team put so much pride into their work. Good luck to them!!”
