As with most of the car parks at Luton, the Short Term is tatty, a rough surface with very little smooth tarmac. Getting into the Short Term car park is also difficult as you have to fight your way in with all the other traffic heading to the terminal building.

Terrible bus service. Have parked twice and both times we have waited about 25-30 min for the buses!!

Signs suggesting there was spaces when there wasn't. Directions up rows of the car park to be met by a dead end meaning multiple cars having to reverse back the full length of the row and no one on hand for assistance. Really poor experience

On the upside the parking is close to the terminal, however if you end up parking on the boundaries to the rear and far side you will be dragging your suitcases for quite a distance, and it can be very windy. The physical state of the car park is bad; it needs properly surfacing with proper parking bays being identified.

Drop and go. Approaching airport trying to find it was hard ended up in bus lanes. We got to the correct place eventually, only to find when we tried to get out of drop and go the machine was registering our money 2.50 but the barrier didn't raise, we put another 2.00 and the barrier then came up. In total we were there their 2 minutes. Costing £4.50, we were not the only people experiencing difficulties is this the way you gain your money! Luton airport we are waiting for an explanation.

Luton Short Stay car park is not fit for purpose and seems to have been deteriorating in physical appearance over a number of years. Missing space markers, confusing layout, muddy, slippery and without adequate surfaces to support dragging luggage from and to your car. Lagging in covered walkways further adds to the negative experience on a wet day.

Car park is difficult to find, not gold signs but p with yellow square around. Confusing as entrance is so close to pick up. Although we had pre paid, the details didn't print onto the ticket when we pulled in, so on trying to exit the car park, screen said we owed £180! Had to wait for someone to answer intercom to be let out, thought it should run a little more smoothly! Have prepaid at other airport car parks and not had same issue.

Signage could be better especially in the darker hours. Upon dropping my son off today i was amazed with how expensive the drop off is £2 for 15 minutes is not really on. I see that you offer free parking for 30 minutes, but then have to get the bus so your free parking is eaten into quite quickly if you have to wait around. Upon looking at other comments about pot holes and bad road markings i can only assume that all profits go into your tight over large pockets no doubt to take you onto luxury holidays and drive oversized large luxury cars i.e. i do not mean the normal operating staff as they are probably on minimum wage anyway and are the ones who get the grief. wouldn't it be good to have a 30 min free drop off/pick up, probably not i guess, well not for apcoa anyway.

We used the short stay car park. We only mark it poor because it is nothing special. The spaces are not marked out. The surface is poor. There is no covered walkway to the terminal building. The approach road signage is shocking it is really easy to drift into the drop off car park. The road markings are terrible. The price is high compared with Gatwick and Hrow where the car parks are much better presented. What exactly do you spend the fees on? Parking generally at Luton is absolutely appalling and totally rubbish to drop off and pick up. And there should be free trolleys to get our luggage from the car to the terminal. The only saving grace is that Luton airport is only 20 mins drive for us

Booking was good and easy. Entry to carpark was clear and easy. Carpark surface was unacceptably poor, uneven and potholes full of water as it was raining, direction to parking spaces was poor. Direction for pedestrians across the carpark was poor, as was lighting (arrived and left in the dark). Exit from carpark was very poor on putting prepaid card, within booked time, in at exit barrier we were asked for £72! not acceptable, yes sorted by pressing button and talking to staff BUT no explanation or apology. An unpleasant experience at the end of a holiday.

The car park is in extremely poor condition, with craters too large to call pot holes. In addition to this, there is no circular route through the car park - cars have parked at the very ends of rows, meaning you have to reverse all the way down if you are unlucky enough not to find a space in that row.

only one car park bus running therefor we had to wait ten minutes in cold. when we left car park and inserted ticket the barrier would not operate and we were told we needed to pay £128 even though we had paid in advance and we were 2 hours earlier than the booking time. We sorted it out on the intercom eventually but it left a poor impression.

As with every time I use the short term car park facility I have issues getting out of the car park. This is despite having pre paid for the parking and being informed that supposedly my registration will be recognised. It's frustrating having to call the operator, wait for the operator who never seems to answer and then have the hassle of going through a series of questions to verify payment. All in all a very poor service from what is not a cheap parking option. Michael Cluskey Cluskeym@hotmail.com

Booked a my parking for an overnight stay and noticed on my ticket that this hadn't been recognised. There were no staff around so i was forced into paying a £72 charge. Fortunately, i had enough money in my bank account to allow for this! After questioning this charge with customer services the next day, i did get a full refund. However, this was a stressful situation to be in after a nice break away. I am now more reluctant to use this service again in the future.

The short term car park is in very bad condition, the spaces are too close together as are the lanes making exit tricky for a longer car. The lighting and signage is also very bad.

We entered the car park and no space was available and there was no signposting of where we could find a space. That also meant that one had to go up a lane to check for spaces and having to go back in reverse as there was no exit at the end of the line. Many cars were doing that at the same time as cars continued to be accepted in even if parking facility was obviously full. State of the ground is very poor. The tarmac was badly damaged in many places. The only positive is the fact that you are at walking distance from the actual airport.

Very poor experience.Direction signs covered in snow from M1 at 04.00 hours to long term car park. Car park approach has unseen humps and generally poor signage. On return to airport no indication at empty bus stop how long bus would be. Would prefer Stansted due to their better car parking and service.. Also luggage retrieval at 18.00hrs took 45+ minutes after disembarking.

The short term car park was poorly signposted for space availability and the road surface was a disgrace for the cost charged

The mid term car park is great but could benefit from being able to walk to the terminal. The short term which I used in the same week needs resurfing and remarking

I pre-paid for the parking. Upon arrival, we went through the barrier and parked. Noticed that the numberplate was not printed on the ticket. There were no signs telling you what to do in this case. Luckily a van with a parking warden drove past and we flagged it down. The chap was helpful and told us what to do, however he did mention that the ANPR cameras are very intermittent. These obviously need to be replaced with more reliable items, but also there needs to be some sign-age on what to do in the case where it hasn't worked. Also the tarmac is way passed its best and very uneven. There where also a good number of vehicles in the row we parked in (between 10 and 11) that were parked very badly, effectively taking two spaces.
