I want to review the airport as a whole not JUST your parking. This has to be one of the worst and most customer unfriendly airports in the world. My heart sinks whenever I HAVE to fly from the place. It is nothing short of a disgrace. I really do not care about your parking. Parking is hardly a difficult thing to arrange. It is the rest of the airport that needs addressing!1

Everything was ok until I tried to leave. The system did not recognise my car registration so wanted to charge me £182.

pre booked - but as seems normal the plate recognition on arrival didn't work - however as long as you have booking reference just have to talk to quick and efficient person who helps via intercom on exit machine and barrier lifted. I'd actually overstayed by a couple of hours but was politely told "not a problem". That certainly made up for the slight inconvenience. will used again.

online booking worked well, but for the mid term car park it would be quicker to walk to the terminal than waiting for a bus. Unfortunately they don't provide a pedestrian route, you would have to climb over the railings.

Getting from the long stay car park to the airport was quick and easy. Unfortunately I had to wait over 30 minutes to get from the airport to the car park.

Car park surface is very rough and has a lot of potholes and therefore deep puddles in bad weather. Also there are not enough walkways between cars or at end of rows, so getting from your car to the terminal with luggage is actually more difficult than expected, like a maze.

The parking itself was all very straightforward however on trying to exit there were massive queues as no-one could get out as the machine was trying to charge everyone again. Once the attendant responded the gate was opened and alleviated the problem.

The " spaces ' signs on 3 lanes were not accurate , there were no spaces.

Experience on departure was fine. When arriving back to Luton and going back to the car park the wait for the shuttle bus was longer than expected. The machine also tried to charge me an additional cost when exiting the car park even though I had already paid for the car park and was exiting before reaching the maximum stay.

Every time we have used the service we can't exit using the ticket (even though we have pre-paid). This means we get stuck at the barrier (apparently owing a huge sum ~£300 in Parking fees) and have to contact the operator, which isn't great!

Short term car park very convenient in terms of ease of entry/exit and proximity to the terminal, but with a very poor road surface and poorly marked bays.

Overall I was happy. Was easy enough to get in and out. Although my pre-booking didn't work on exit which was annoying. But after calling through I was released and all was sorted.

How about re surfacing the short term area to be in line with other London airport car parks.

The mid-term car park is very poorly surfaced and it was also quite difficult to find vacant spaces. On return, we had to wait far longer than ten minutes for a bus. In fact, two long term buses came before our mid-term bus.

Finding parking space a little difficult, then saw sigh to departures made my way there only to find there was a wire fence lucky meet some people & they weaved their way through the parked cars & found the way to the departures. Do hope next time there will be some sort of a path to get one to the right place.

i must admit to being a trifle disappointed . When we fly from John Lennon Liverpool we are greeted at the entrance by a barber shop,quartet who put us in eaxctly the right frame of mind for our forthecoming holiday .. At Luton the absence of any sort of musical welcome did leave us feeling a little flat . Are fanfareless. car parks the norm in the south of England . .? Morag Teckniss ,
