My son has been waiting 14 months for a refund with no joy emailing and ringing them. They always say it will be prioritised but nothing happens we are now really fed up and have contacted rip off Britain on the bbc and need others to do the same let’s get our money back

I booked with Lycafly recently, and they put misleading information on the website flexible ticket because of COVID-19 situation I want to cancel my ticket. I phoned the Lyca fly customer service, and they asked me for the cancellation fees of £283: awful service, plundering the customer.

It’s a shameful the way they operate. First their price in Sky scanner never matches the price they offer when you visit the online site. They charge me the money for the tickets then call me after three days that they couldn’t issue the tickets because of new government rules. When I ask for refund, I have been informed need to wait for 6-8 weeks for refund. First, they try to manipulate the story that airline will not issue the refund quick, but when I question them why airline need to issue the refund because airline never been issued a ticket in first place. Then said they are very busy so it will take 6-8 weeks. How on earth it will take that long for them to return money back to account for unissued tickets? I don’t understand how is sky scanner leaving them on the website operate scam on this way?

Lycafly is one of the biggest scammers in travel industry.After online booking your flight you will receive a call from theirs sales agent with some offer and over the call they’ll promise to you as per your requirements everything but when you go to use that offer you’ll be ending up paying 3-4 extra of the amount quoted to you and if you say check the recording of call and get to know all what’s been explained when I was on the call. But the higher management will say we don’t know what’s been told to you over the call but you have to take this offer you need to pay extra x amount which is airline taxes. Such a scammer LYCAFLY

I had a bad experience. I booked online and after 15 mins I got a call from LycaFly that mam do one the pay us £15 more for each ticket and you will get your first change free. I paid £15 extra. but due to some of my personal reason, I call LycaFly to change my booking. and they ask me £110 pound for each member (i booked 5 tickets). And then they start making excuses. I ask manager Sidharth to listen to all phone call recording where LycaFly staff offer us free change but he said may his staff said it by mistake and he is not ready to anything on their mistake just end up paying them extra. Highly poor service. never ever recommend to any one.

Please don’t book with Lycafly , I don’t want anyone of you to endure the absolute torturous process of having to deal with the Lycafly customer service team. I booked through them in March 2020 and couldn’t fly due to Covid . I applied for a refund in October and six months later I’m still waiting for my money. Etihad have confirmed they refunded the money to Lycafly in October 2020 so I don’t know what could possibly be causing the delay other than a completely incompetent Customer Service and Accounts team . Nothing has been processed to date and at some point you have to start thinking these guys are absolute crooks when they don’t have a justifiable reason for the delay . I have no doubt they have scammed numerous individuals and shouldn’t have a licence to trade with their unlawful deductions of an admin fee to process a refund. Don’t waste your time and money with these cowboys .

I booked for two people in 2020 for april holiday but due to covid situation and countries Visa getting suspended I had to cancel tickets.. on march 2020. Regarding my refund it was said by lycafly agent they wont charge me any fee as they understand for the covid situation but airlines would charge and refund would be given out with 7-8 working weeks.. never happened came to 2021 February rang them they told me to go speak to the airlines I booked on.. I spoken to Oman Airlines they told me my total refund would be full refund.. yet lycafly said they only giving me £1079.32 from my £1679.32! I booked tickets with lycafly for the past 12years for me and my 7 members family but I'll NEVER ever book again with lycafly.. totally money grabbing Agent.. DO NOT BOOK FLIGHTS OR ANY DEALS FROM lycafly. Theyll eat your money and put it on airline charge policy.

We understand that our Sept 2020 flight was cancelled due to Covid and we didn't chase the refund as we understand the pressures the agents are under but now in Feb 2021 and we still haven't received the payment even though in our last 3 calls to them this month we have been told the payment will be in the next few days. Not happy customers and still out of pocket £1455

Absolutely abysmal. These people should not have a licence to trade. In Jan 2020 paid £682 for a return flight to Tokyo in March 2020. Due to Covid I had to cancel as I would not have been able to return to the UK. LycaFly said I would only get £93 refund. After complaining about this and arguing with them for months I finally accepted that £93 was all I was going to get out of them so I accepted their offer. It is now Feb 2021 and do you think they paid me the £93? NO THEY DIDN'T!!! LycaFly are unscrupulous and could be classed as scammers by many people. Do your research or book with them at your peril. My suggestion is to go directly to the airline if booking a flight or to a reputable agent like Tui if you are booking a package.

Very rude and poor customer service. Despite advising by airline refund will be processed in 3 weeks maximum these rude lycafly are advising it will take .6 months to process my refund.

Do not use lycafly, all the support team are thieves, they will take every penny off you, rinse you until you’re dry. They blatantly lie, I hope they get bankrupt and go under especially when people are dying during covid and they are making matters worse by charging an extortionate amount to change flights or not even refunding.

Actually star at all! A lot of us are still waiting for a refund. The people I used to send my enquiry has an automatic reply stating that they are no longer working for Lyca fly. The calls are diverted to a call centre in Sri Lanka! We are desperate to get our money back!
