The vanilla Bourbon Bacon Lollipops were a sad, frustrating joke from the ordering confusion between sizes, the different weights on the box and in the descrption, and the lackluster flavor of the dipping sauce. We expected candied bacon to celebrate with and we got little bits of pork belly and a watery glaze.
Seems as though the recipe changed on the mushroom tarts. They had a more pronounced boozy flavor than the last few years, Not to our tastes.
These were not deal breakers but makes us a bit more gun-shy about trying something new or relying on the known and beloved.”
“I had ordered short ribs and manicotti in mushroom cream sauce. I didn’t find any short ribs, only a puréed food item. If it was some form of meat, it was in a soup consistency.”
“We ordered the beef and salmon wellington. Excellent portions but lacked flavor. It was very bland, IMO. I won't order again.
We also ordered the fingerling potatoes, carrots, and Brussel sprouts as a side and they were delicious. I will order this again.
For dessert, we ordered chocolate molten cake and the pineapple cake. Both were excellent!”
