Unprofessional follow up agent who answered phone with food in her mouth and neither gave her name nor answered phone as Mackenzie Ltd.
At first said I had not followed
Instructions and then after being pressured and saw I had.
Finally got a lovely one the day before Easter.
Not up to your standards and I have bought from you for years.

“Sorry to have to rate a three. The packaged salmon samples were great and my husband enjoyed them very much. The Mushroom Medley was not so successful. We followed directions for thawing and baking and it ended up being a soupy mess. It tasted fine. It just wasn't pretty or appetizing to serve. So the salmon gets a 5 and the mushrooms get a 2.”
“I ordered 6 gifts from MacKenzie Limited at which were excellent. However. there was an issue with an additional item . It was a perishable order that was not clearly marked as such and, as a result, was spoiled when opened for Christmas. I requested that the item be resent free of charge but my request was denied. I felt that MacKenzie Limited, as a reputable company knowing that I was a longtime customer, would have readily done so.”

“Delivery for pre-Christmas was accomplished timely. But the quality of the full side of smoked salmon was surprisingly mediocre. Salty, grainy. Not at all what I expected. Others ate it without comment. But I found it unremarkable at best. Not high quality.”
“The Turducken took over an hour longer to cook than you said, which ruined my carefully choreographed meal. (I only have one oven) We had it after dessert, but it was delicious, and one hunter commented the duck was delicious and it is hard not to dry out duck.
The rhubarb+ pie (I wanted the beautiful cake you discontinued), cooked very messy and lopsided and overflowed its pan.
The potato "big tots" were a big hit.”
“Cocktail apps arrived frozen and in good condition.
They were just ok and not superior for the cost. Empanadas were dry, however, pastry was good, arancino were delicious, chicken dejon was also dry and tasteless. Very disappointing.”

But I get so many emails that I unsubscribed - and I still continue to get emails.
If they want a better survey, they need better customer service.”
“Not as good as it looks in the catalog. The filets and lobster tails were fantastic! The spanikopita was waaay too salty (and I like salt), the potato-veggie medley was unremarkable, and the pineapple upside down cake was mediocre at best. Also, the warning about the dry ice was hidden under the dry ice, and to say that gloves were what was needed was an understatement. Thin or rubber or vinyl gloves would have done no good; they had to be like oven mitts.”
“Most of the food tasted good but it wasn’t what I would describe as “delicious”. The scallops and lobster bisque were much too salty. The shrimps were limp. The bacon or pork lollipops were cute but had hardly any great flavor. Salty-yes, and tough to chew. But not very enjoyable. The only really good thing was the lobster roll sandwiches. The thing is- how do you eat these without making a mess? We paid entirely too much money for food that wasn’t really really so delicious and wonderful so we probably will not be ordering from you again. Thank you.”
