Hi there,
I would like a coach that is based in Melbourne, Australia.
Do you have anyone available?
I would also like a coach who will hold me accountable for home gym workouts and incorporate meal plan with home made indian food too.
Thanks
Hi Amy!
While there isn't a menu, you are able to eat whatever foods you like or normally eat. So for example what a lot of our clients do when they enroll is they continue eating what they usually eat, but they enter it all into their food logs for their coach to review. Then, based on your food logs, your coach is able to pare down your amounts, or suggest alternative items or substitutions.
What we most commonly find is that people's dietary habits aren't actually as bad as they believe them to be. Most people don't need a drastic overhaul or revision of their diet. They simply need to substitute a few things and/or reduce the amount of food they eat. Most commonly people need to increase their protein. So for example if your coach reviews your food logs and sees you're coming up short on your protein goal, your coach will make helpful suggestions on things to eat that will help you hit your protein target. Same goes for carbs or fats.
So rather than providing a meal plan, we provide you with guidance that ultimately gives you the tools & knowledge to handle your own diet for the rest of your life. And this is ultimately what sets people up for success. Once they know how to handle their diet on their own by making simple changes & tweaks, they end up knowing exactly what to do in order to lose weight, gain muscle, or maintain their weight. A meal plan doesn't provide these things because meal plans don't teach you anything about nutrition and your body. We aim to teach you about nutrition and your body so that you're able to handle things on your own for good.

Hi Laura! Menopause can certainly make it more difficult for women to lose weight. The good news is that about 30-40% of our client base is within the age range when menopause happens, so our coaches are very familiar with this. And while I can't speak for Noom, what I can tell you is that our menopausal clients still see a high degree of success provided that they are consistent & accurate with their calorie intake.
What our coaches do is they calculate an appropriate calorie allowance & set of macro targets. They calculate this while taking menopause into account, among other things such as your height, weight, activity level, dieting history, etc.
Each week you'll have an official check-in with your coach to gauge your progress, but throughout the week you'll also be able to text your coach whenever you need, so it's not just a "touch base with your coach once a week" type of program. It's very much a program that you can tailor for yourself, and you get to decide how often you want to talk to your coach, how often you need help, and what you need help with.
But as long as you're accurate & consistent with your calorie allowance, you will lose weight. The great part about counting your macros/calories is that it ensures you're consuming less energy than your body requires to sustain its current weight. So consuming less energy than that means your body has to start shedding fat. And while menopause can make things a bit more challenging, it's simply not enough to prevent your body from shedding fat as long as you're burning more energy than you've taken in. And again that's where our coaches step in and help you.
