For Christmas I received the man crate jerky box. It is terrible The meat is like leather and has no flavor. Don't waste your money.

75.00 for a cardboard box full of beef jerky. No crate, nothing special, just a cardboard box with maybe 20.00 of jerky in it. I do not recommend. 7/11 and a local UPS store would be better.

Ordered the taco making crate as a Christmas gift. Had them gift wrap it. It arrived and the odor was overwhelming. I opened the package and found the taco sauce bottles had broken and had soaked the wooden crate and interior box and items. Everything inside was soaked; it was all covered. Called Mancrates and they said they would send a replacement and they did not want this one back. I told them it was all unusable and sent pictures. I had to throw it away, the entire thing. The new one arrived and all they sent was the sauces, they did not replace the kit as promised. The other crate was ruined, soaked in sauce and all the other items were also covered. I paid extra for the wrapping. Then all they send is 2 bottles of sauce. The crate, all the other items, the wrapping; I'm just out for. No refund, nothing. This is the second year in a row we had issues and this one is ridiculous. Beware, do not use this company.

Don't order from this company! I made a mistake on my order which was placed after business hours. I immediately sent a email to their order contact listed on their website. I didn't hear back during the day about it so I called them. The support representative I talked to said sorry, nothing we can do about it now because you waited all day. I said, "I didn't wait, I sent you a email literally 5 minutes after placing my order." She replied "Ya, we're like super busy and having a hard time keeping up with emails, chats and phone calls." I said, "Respectfully, not my problem that you're understaffed or whatever the issue is." She replied simply, "Apologize, nothing we can do." What a horrible company. I'll simply deny shipment so they can eat the cost both ways and have the credit card company return my money. So stupid!

They sent a product that did not match the description and because I didn't get around to making until 90 days after it arrive so I didn't know til then, they refused to make it right.

Do not order from this company! I ordered the steak crate for my sons birthday, he never received it, kept telling me out of stock for weeks! I finally had to cancel the order to get my money back. Very disappointed

Do not order from these people. Ordered over three weeks ago for a very special 50th birthday. Inquired about my order as it did not arrive on the day picked. They blame fed ex even though the tracking number was just created, after my inquiry. Now I have to scramble to try and have a gift delivered for the birthday so it doesn't look like I forgot. $100 down the toilet. Zero resolution and wasted money. So disappointed.

Ordered an engraved item for my dad's birthday. When he finally opened the crate the grand finally was met with a completely wrong engraving. Paid extra to have it there for the big day and was a big disappointment. Yeah they said they send a replacement for the engraved item, but it really didn't make up for it. I think they should of sent a small something extra to make it a surprise after that. I mean I did pay an extra $5o.oo to get it there on time. I won't be ordering from them again

I ordered a gift for my husband on Jan 30th for Valentine's day. It said it would arrive by February 4th. I than got an update 3 days before Valentine's day saying it wouldn't be delivered until February 16th. What is the point in planning ahead if the company is going to mess it up. I than went to their website and their advertising how if you order by Friday the 11th they will get the item to you by Monday. Well that's funny since they can't get the item I ordered on time. Worse company ever! Now I have to scramble to find him another gift. I ended up cancelling the order I placed because I don't need it after Valentine's day.

I am now furious with my mancrates experience. I just returned home to find the decanter had leaked all over my kitchen counter. Leaked in to my mail, sentimental items, in to the directions for the itself, and on the knife making kit. I was already struggling to like the company after having to make two separate orders instead of buy one, get one 50% off. Two separate orders, two separate shipping and now, two separate disasters. I will not recommend or order from them again. I had read a few other reviews that had leaking decanters and was skeptical. However, I went ahead and shelled out almost 300 with shipping, going off the good review of customer service. I left a message and will update my review if I do receive (or do not) receive an acceptable response.

I ordered (3) Steak Crates. I received them very quickly. The one issue was they mixed up the monogrammed wood steak plates. In one box was (1) A and (1) D and the second box had (1) A and (1) D. They mixed them up. Luckily I gave the gifts to the two gentleman at the same time so they just switched the plates. They just need to pay closer attention when boxing the items.

We love Man Crates as gifts for our adult male children who live out of state, however the last three times we have ordered one it has missed the “delivered by” date but 2-3 days. That’s unacceptable when you’re counting on its arrival for a birthday or Christmas gift. So sadly, unless they stop using FedEx for shipping, we won’t be ordering them anymore.

I was thrilled with my Man Crates purchase! I got the ammo box with personalized "Live Free or Die" beer glasses and a wicked, personalized "bullet" bottle opener. The packaging was neat and the enclosed note made me laugh! They also included 2 samples of jerky, which was an unexpected surprise. It arrived on the day they promised, in perfect condition, which was nice. Made my night!!

I’m not quite sure why man crates received lower scores from others, but I have had the absolute best experience with this company. I placed an order and one of the words was misspelled. They very gratefully redid the order, which was large and re-shipped it at no cost. Their customer service was excellent. They communicated with me via email and verbally and were so apologetic. I would absolutely highly recommend this company for gifts for your favorite man. Monyhony in Charlotte

READ THIS REVIEW-I ordered Wednesday. of Father’s Day week. Father’s Day was Sunday so I picked Saturday delivery. Saturday came and it says fedex delayed to Sunday. All day I wait for it but it doesn’t come. Sorry husband no gifts for you! Here it is Monday at 3:30 pm and nothing. I track my package and it says expect on Tuesday. This is bad business! If you cannot get it delivered and need us to pay more than charge it. It was supposed to a fedex guaranteed delivery on Saturday the 19th. Man crates needs to fix this issue. I will update if I ever see it.

It was such a wonderful experience and let's just say they saved Father's day. I purchased the Whiskey Appreciation Crate on Monday night before Father's day the following weekend. It was delivered promptly on Friday with no delivery complications. He was so impressed by all the neat gifts inside the crate not to mention the personalized decanter and beautiful glassware. I would most certainly recommend them to my friends and family especially if they are Whiskey drinkers. Thank you again Man Crates for the wonderful customer service experience.

The company is a gimmick: nothing more than some cheap but still expensive way of trying to convince weak men that they know what true high quality craftmanship and tools are. Anyone who would buy this for a man who works in a garage or shop is wasting their money. For the knife making crates--the steel used for the blades is not a good choice, its usually cheap steel that dulls after not long. It's fine for a kitchen knife but any sort of survival knife would be useless after a short while. Even the tools that come in the kits are cheap and seem very poor quality. Examples are the bench vises and rasps they send with their kits-very low quality metals and steels used. A real man would be far better off using his own tools to complete the kit, and whoever is buying this crate for him would be better off saving their money. This company must spend far more on advertising and decorating their cardboard boxes than they put into the actual quality of items they send to "men." Save your money please and spend it on a quality gift for the person in your life.

I ordered my dad a man crate before he died, it was the perfect gift but not why I’m writing this review. Shortly after he died I broke the stopper the the personalized whiskey decanter that came in the set. I called Man Crates customer service just trying to get in touch with who makes them to purchase a new one... they without hesitation replaced it for free for me. They went above and beyond. The box was great and my dad loved it but their customer service was even better. Thank you!
