They offered a no quibble return on faulty goods even though I had lost the receipt. Fantastic customer service. It's a shame more stores don't follow the same ethos of putting the customer first.

As a size 22 shopper I have comparatively little choice on the high street but prefer it to online shopping. Since M&S significantly expanded the variety of clothing available in my size and made them routinely available in their larger branches, I have purchased more from them during the course of this year than from any other clothing chain. However it takes more than availability to make me buy from a manufacturer; they have also upped their game in terms of trend awareness. In the past I've found their designs often fell short, not by a million miles, but a couple of inches, which is way worse in my book. There was always some superfluous detail like a pocket in an awkward place or some annoying embroidered motif that immediately screamed "M&S!" at you. I find there's less of that try-hard styling now. By the same token they take more risks more often instead of automatically playing it safe and matronly. They provide excellent value for money and their sales have been great this year. (Admittedly because nobody else seems to like what they're doing but it bears saying that I've always hated wearing what everybody else is wearing so it suits me fine. Not sure that's the kind of ringing endorsement M&S wants though).

i am a disabled lady and the staff at my local M & S store are fantastic at helping me shop. i also buy clothes online from them and they are always a good fit. If only they would sell their food on line too. I would immediately drop my online grocery service for them.

I ordered a new bed (it had 20% off) at 6pm one evening. By 7pm the same night they called me to book in a delivery date that suited me. Brilliant customer service so far!

Clothing terrible!! Food not too bad but too expensive. Staff usually fine and polite.Frequented mostly by older people whose families also once shopped there. Bit like voting labour simply because your family did. I doubt the company will ever learn and need top management who "know" what they are doing. I suspect that it won't be all that long before M&S go under. Come on, get your act together.

By checking their stock to find the missing article. They were very busy and spent some time looking for the pillowcase.

My trousers. Why is it that their trousers are a hit and miss affair? I buy trousers at a certain waist and leg length. The chances of any two pairs being the same leg length are nigh on nil, even though the label says they are. It is the same with pullovers. Arm lengths are ludicrously too long, always. Females too that I know complain about the same thing and will not shop there anymore. If anyone from that company is reading this why is it that you have never ever learned why it is your clothes sales give you financial issues? Why has M&S never ever brought themselves up to date with fashion and pricing in their clothing lines? Oh well. Just thought I would have my say.
