I ordered a rug, that was a totally different colour in real life to the colour depicted online, then was charged to return it. I had to chase Matalan for the refund. I would never shop with Matalan Direct again

Chairs quite good quality, disappointed for the money we paid that we had to make them ourselves. paid extra for a named delivery date thinking I would get to choose the day & time, no got a email they day before then got 1/2 hr notice of delivery so my husband had to rush out of work. so not really bad service but there is room for improvement, I am quite happy with the chairs though.

I was informed that I would receive a message on the day of delivery but this never happened, I was carded 2 day in a row and then had to pick the parcel up from my local depot which isn't close to where i live, the item was a love seat and I have a 3 door car which wasn't an easy task and I struggled getting this item in my car and had to remove all packaging to get this in, luckily the team at the depot helped me initially but this didn't help when I got the chair home and I had to get the item out of the car into my property. had I known I wouldn't receive any confirmation of when this would be delivered I wouldn't have bothered with the order.

Firstly this is the second email asking for review from Matalan Direct. interestingly the first one doesn't appear anywhere. I ordered two pairs of Curtains ,when they arrived I opened them to hang one pair was different to the other and one curtain was 2.5 inches longer than the other. I emailed M D customer service and explained saying I did not want to be charged £9 return fee for something that was not fit for purpose. 2 days later I get an email from 'Gavin' saying could I take some picture of the issue with the curtains for their technical team to look at. This I duly did unwrapping and hanging them again. I sent several clear picture of the problems. I then get another email from 'Gavin' saying that the technical team would like to have a closer look and review the curtains in person after they have been returned and a courier will be with me the following day. Like many other customer complaints on here I stayed in waiting all day and no one came and no one emailed ,texted or called me to let me know what was happening. At 7.30 that evening I get an e mail from M D saying We are sorry you were not there for us to collect your parcel we left a calling card through your door. Needless to say I was a bit miffed at this and left M D a review similar to this which does not appear anywhere. So M D now have my items and my money and as yet nearly 2 weeks later I have not heard another word from them! I have been made to feel like a lying cheat for trying to return an unsuitable product and I bet when I do get a refund it will be minus the £9 return charge.Seriously folks DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.And Matalan Direct, shame on you and your terrible customer service.May I suggest you actually read your reviews.

The curtains I ordered looked absolutely nothing like they did on the picture online and the picture that's on the front of the pack. Colours were different too and the curtains felt cheap. Also I was not impressed with your refund system. Unable to send back myself or take into store. I had to pay £9 for someone to come and collect it from my house between 9-5 which is when the majority of people work! Ridiculous system and I will not be ordering from matalan direct again.

The delivery was very poor. There were several boxes of lighting all delivered in an individual pile almost toppling over in damaged boxes. I had also paid to upgrade delivery to a chosen time slot, but they gave me the time slot. I emailed Matalan Direct who simply responded sorry you misunderstood our delivery method! Not a good experinece. Items not used yet, but seem fine having inspected the damaged boxes.

Ordered an occasional chair from you and was extremely surprised and pleased at the quality of the product. The delivery service was also very good. This is the first time I have ordered a piece of furniture from you; however based on my delivery and product quality I would purchase from you again and would not hesitate to recommend others. Well done Matalan.

After ordering 2 x bedside tables in grey I received one damaged, a replacement was sent out as to replace the top of the unit, but it was he wrong colour, I am still waiting for one of the customer service representatives to call me back, I spoke with them on Friday 24th March, have to say I'm not happy at all.

Hi. Happy with the product itself, but when we ordered the chair the delivery said we would be contacted by the courier to let us know when the item would be delivered. Parcelforce tried to deliver without contacting us, and obviously could not deliver. When I contacted the number on the card they left and said they were supposed to call to arrange a delivery day. They told me that they do not do this.
