“Ordered two shower baskets plus a glass shelf for the bathroom. The baskets have a 10 year guarantee, they look good, so I hope they will not rust like the one I replaced. The four mounting screws were missing for the shelf although I informed the company it was not resolved.”

Hi Trevor, Really sorry that we’ve not been dealt with your problem as quickly as we should do. It’s not the standard we should be delivering and I’m going to look into this to make sure it doesn’t happen again. I have arranged for some replacement screws to be issued, and these should be received within the next couple of days. My sincerest apologies that this had not been resolved earlier. “I ordered sink and toilet unfortunately the cistern of toilet got smashed in transit, contacting Matalan about this was stress free and they got a replacement sent out asap. I am currently in search of more bathroom furniture e.g shower tray and enclosure and I'm sure il be purchasing from Matalan. Thanks.”

“Although this is a bad rating I have made an order with Matalan Direct but it was a gift for my grandson. Problems with delivery I am still in process of trying to have them dealt with satisfactorily and do so hope that will be overcome. Placing an order on line with Matalan Direct was very easy and very uncomplicated when problem solved will have no problem in doing another survey and telling you what my rating is then.”

Hi Mrs Todd, We’re really sorry to hear that you and your grandson have had problems getting this order delivered. With our deliveries we do require our couriers to obtain a signed proof of delivery to confirm that the goods had been received in a good condition. Our couriers attempted to deliver your order on Wednesday 18th March, but this could not be completed, as no one was present at the delivery address. We understand that your grandson was unable to be present at the delivery address due to his ongoing work commitments, and you had provided us with an alternative contact on Thursday. These details were passed onto the courier service to update the driver, but the delivery had already been attempted that morning and was in the process of being returned to us. We have reprocessed the order and upgraded this to next day delivery to ensure that this is received as quickly as possible. We have informed the couriers that they must call at least an hour beforehand to ensure that somebody is available at the property. I trust your grandson will be happy with the products once they have arrive and can only apologise for the inconvenience that has been caused. We wish your grandson the very best for his upcoming exams. Regards, David

“Very quick delivery, also kept upto date on its arrival. I ordered a towel rail, it's strong, sturdy and looks the part. I got my builder to put it up and he asked how much unpaid as it was such good quality ????”

“Vast amount of products,the cheapest I found on-line therefore was a bit concerned about the quality when the shower column arrived I must say I had no complaints it was better than others that was double the price,and it was delivered when they said it would be which was"a big plus in there favour".One of the main reasons I ordered from Matalan direct was the amount of information they had on the product,my Plummer had everything he needed,"will be back for more".I hope this helps other people to make an informed decision as I know what a nightmare it can be with some company's.
