“Clockwork is quite possibly the best SMS API out there. It's unique, it's intuitive, it's simple, it's easy to use, and above all it works. Clockwork has some the best customer service I've ever seen. Their twitter presence is a shining example of how other companies should manage their social media. Others should strive to be as good as Clockwork in this regard. The fact they use a singular get request (Get!) To both send the data of the SMS and receive whatever message the API returns is simply marvellous. Literally. The simplicity and intuitive nature of this method opens up SMS marketing etc. to a range of users. Not to mention their wide range of wrappers, the ability to be used in almost any language, and the extensive yet concise documentation that they provide. Clockwork is everything that an API should be.”

“hi Clockwork team, I would like to have 1 improvement and 1 new feature, Improvement: support all utf-8 characters including Chinese characters New feature: limited the text count, if the number of character exceed 160, put a "..." at the end of the message”

Hi, Thanks for your comments. It's always great to receive feedback and I'll pass this over to our development team to have a look at. In regards to limited characters, Clockwork allows you to send up to 459 characters (3 SMS) you can allow long messages by selecting this option in 'Sending' > 'Nuts & Bolts'. “I'm only into day 4 of using Clockwork, but so far, it's been running like, well, clockwork ;) Easy to use API, reliable delivery, simple to integrate and reasonably priced. We're mainly using it for notifications out of Nagios and other monitoring systems, and it does the job perfectly.”

“The site looks and works great. There are heaps of API(s) to use, and examples for them. Text Messages arrive within seconds, of a successful request. However, my account was suspended for no reason, but it was cleared up just over 24 hours after, by a friendly support member.”

“I've looked and looked for a SMS service which is both reasonably priced, cheap, and easy to use. Clockwork is all three of these. Their prices are some of the best I've seen, their API to incorporate SMS services into existing or new projects (in almost any language) are great and easy to follow with some handy and easy to read documentation, and finally their user interface is simple yet powerful. I've found a lot of SMS services confine you a single country, locking you down to local number and forcing you to pay extra to send to other countries with both set-up fees, more SMS costs and actually paying for a number. Whilst this might appeal to huge companies focused in one country who wish to send from their own private number - Clockwork has not got these limitations. Whilst different countries have different SMS costs, I am able to send to any number anywhere with reasonable rates. This has made my life as a developer easy, a walk in the park if you will when it comes to "Two Step Authentication". As mentioned before, I have probably demoed about 30 similar texting services, and whilst they all have their quirks, good things and bad things. There is a solid reason I have chosen Clockwork, and I don't intent to move.”

“I'm a web developer and have some customers who prefer to receive enquiries from their website as SMS messages as well as email. Clockwork SMS is very quick and simple to implement, and it just works! It's one of the few things I've never had a problem with.. It's like a 'fire-and-forget' solution! Highly recommended.”
