“Melitta is a household name in my native Switzerland. Named after the inventor of the coffee filter, the brand stands for reliability and longevity - no wonder their coffee grinder scores higher than many pricier models in customer surveys. I look forward to many ywars of happy grinding :) The free 1kg coffee bag (worth £17) with my order was a nice touch, too!”

“Takes a bit of time to get the coffee strength and amount right and the amount of milk right, but it is worth the effort. Makes a lovely coffee, but as with all German coffee machines you will need to microwave the drink afterwards (I put it in for 20 seconds for 2 drinks) to get it hot.”

“The machine makes excellent coffee. However, a very large sticky label was attached to the front of the filter holder advertising 3-in-1 calc protection. Removing that label left a thick, ugly, sticky mess behind that was not easily removed. I had to buy Sticky Stuff Remover and it required 4 applications and an hours work. I was very disappointed. There is no need for the label and it spoils the pleasure of having a new pristine coffee machine. At the very least a easy to remove glue could be used. I cannot give the coffee machine the high score it deserves on the basis of the coffee it produces because the score must reflect my overall experience and disappointment with the product.”

“As expected this coffee machine delivers. It was a birthday gift for my husband and he really enjoys using it. He’s tried out various beans and it makes great coffee. The cleaning’s not a problem, which makes it easy to maintain too. I’m really pleased he can have quality coffee at home without heading out to a cafe!”
