“Very pleased with the survey and with the price. Surveyor seemed highly knowledgeable and also gave his opinion rather than sitting on the fence which was refreshing. Was a nice touch that you can actually speak to the person who went to the property and talk through any points that come up. Would have given 5 stars if not for slight lack of communication at times. Would definitely recommend and use again.”

“Our survey missed various key points which ended up costing us quite a bit of money including various leaks with damage to visible timbers, leaks on two flat roofs and unprotected mains electrics running across the grass to our garage which could of been very dangerous. One room has completely moldy walls which would of shown up on a damp test. the property was listed as solid wall but it actually is cavity wall.. etc”

“The survey was comprehensive, informative and detailed. The survey was received as requested promptly (within 2 days) and the surveyor was accessible and very helpful. I would have liked a receipt confirming payment received as the payment was sent prior to the survey being carried out.”

“Found the service very professional. The gentleman carrying out the survey rang me straight after he'd seen the property I want to buy and told me all the information I needed to know and gave me advice regarding specific questions I had posed. This was followed up by a very impressively presented survey report containing lots of information and photographs etc. Would highly recommend.”

“Mr Gavaghan was extremely professional He carried out the survey shortly after inital comtact was made. His report was clear, concise and well illustrated with photographs. He pointed out all the drawbacks, areas of future concern and possible risks. His report prompted me to pull out of purchasing the property surveyed and potentially saved me a lot of money. The survey was worth every penny I paid. I would recommend Mr Gavaghan to anyone.”

“We felt that the surveyor did not do a very good job. The report was lacking a lot of the things we would expect to see and a builder that went round two days later picked up on a number of things that were not mentioned in the report. He also gave his personal opinion on the property on a few occasions rather than a professional opinion. We would not use him again”

“I was very disappointed with what was supposed to be a Full Structural Survey; the surveyor missed the fact there was a significant area of rot in the bathroom floor, despite noting damage to the ceiling below, there was no recommendation for further investigation. The whole floor had to be replaced, at considerable expense to me. If I had known, I would have still proceeded with the purchase, but there would have been some negotiation on price. The garage was also reported as "in a reasonable condition" when the roof is clearly broken and leaks like a sieve.”

“Fantastic service, response to initial enquiry and booking very quick. Robert Hepburn carried out Full Buildings Survey, phoned with brief report the same day. Full report received by e-mail and hard copy as promised. Very impressed with the attention to detail. Would definitely recommend.”

“I chose Mirus Surveyors from a number of other surveyors recommended by other people and researches I carried out on line. I spoke personally to the person in charge and he recommended a highly experienced surveyor from his team, who had local knowledge. (You can read up what each surveyor offers). The surveyor allocated sent details of what his work entailed, that he'd be reporting back both verbally and written as well as copying the report to the solicitors free of cost. The cost to surveying and preparing the surveyor's report and valuation was very reasonable. A date was agreed, the contact number given for the surveyor to access the property and a cheque sent off. The whole process was stress-free and the surveyor lived up to his promises, providing professional feedback both verbal and written. I was really impressed with the whole process and I would not hesitate recommending Mirus Surveyors as a highly reliable and professional body of surveyors.”
