The rug I ordered met its description, came promptly and looks good - but I’ve now had it for over a week and it is still emitting a very nauseating plastic smell from the very tight wrapper it arrived in and is still curled up at the edges. Thankfully the smell is gradually dissipating, but has been very overwhelming and unpleasant, which took the edge off the new rug’s arrival. The cushion I ordered matches well, and I’ve since managed to source an additional two cushions from another supplier who had adequate stocks, unlike Modern Rugs UK at the time I placed my original order with them.

Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. Our rugs are stored rolled up in their plastic wrapping to ensure they stay in brand new condition. This means that they may not lay completely flat when you first unroll it. This is similar for example to when you by a new shirt or a pair of curtains which will be creased when you first take it out of the wrapping; but whereas these items can be ironed flat very quickly rugs take a little longer. This is not a fault with the rug; it is only temporary until the rug takes to its new shape being rolled out. The more you use and walk over the rug the quicker it will flatten out. This can take anything from a few days to a few weeks depending on the type of rug you have purchased. You can sometimes speed this process up by rolling the rug in the opposite direction to the way it was rolled in its packaging (pile outwards) and leave it somewhere warm (such as near a radiator) for 24 hours. With regards to the smell, Before the rugs leave the factory, they are treated with a protective liquid that helps the preservation of the colour. The rug is then immediately rolled and bagged ready for transit. The smell can get trapped inside the bag during this process. It is nothing to worry about after a few days it should dissipate nicely. If the smell doesn’t dissipate after a few weeks please contact us.

Fast Delivery. Beautiful Rug, received loads of compliments on it. Tiny bit of shedding first few days. Now very tiny amounts. Very happy with purchase

Rug was as described and as seen on the website.the only critism was the extended delivery time- delivery was out with original timescales because’ it was with our suppliers’- Customer service staff were polite and helpful when I enquired but this seemed to be a stock answer

Ordered 2 sisal runners 67 x 240cm which arrived 2 days later via UPS in good condition. The sisal runners are branded Asiatic and are good value for money. The non slip backing is a bonus and there is no need to order the additional Premium Anti-Slip Underlay.

Our rugs are packaged tightly in thick plastic packaging to ensure they remain in brand new condition for delivery. They should flatten out naturally upon un-rolling. With regards to the colour difference, we do try to get the images as accurate as possible through the use of natural daylight photography however we will review the image on our website and update if needed. Delivery was the next day. The rug doesn’t sit flat on the floor but that could be because it is so new.

Ordered a rug, received absolutely different from the one I ordered. Been promised first one will be collected and right one will be delivered . After couple of days received email that my rug is not in stock , but wrong one to be collected on Friday . Sped all day waiting for courier - no one came ... and on Saturday ... and , of course, on Sunday... sent email - didn’t get reply... on Monday only -without any notice -courier came to collect ... not happy with company
