“Ordered 3 tops, WAY TOO BIG, returned all three for refund. After 4 email exchanges where they said they denied refund but would give me store credit, I did two online chat with agents. (Real humans as far as I could tell - voices, not written chats. Both assured me they would initiate refunds. I received follow up emails after both conversations stating I had store credit but no refund. I have not filed a dispute with my credit card company. If you buy from Modlily, plan to keep it, give it away, repurpose, or tailor it yourself to fit.”
“My overall experience with Mod Lily wasn't that great I would advise people not to purchase anything from them because they can't give you your money back if you want a refund they want to give you store credit which is not okay with me you took it on my credit card you can put it back on my credit card and you can speak to any any person on the website like it it's ridiculous what happened to the good old days where you could pick up the phone and call somebody but not now they want to put you on the phone with a bot so it's aggravating as I'll get out but I advise people do not purchase anything from modlily”

“I ordered four dresses. Weeks later I received one dress, and since then just a lot of empty promises about the other three. I had to dispute it with my credit card company, because they never made another shipment. Don’t order unless you can afford to throw your money away! You won’t ever get your merchandise”

“I used this company twice with no issues. Then I ordered earlier this month, paid for rush shipping, received one item out of 10 and am now told it'll be another 4-6 weeks before they ship. I requested a refund as I need clothes for a trip and will have to try to find somewhere else to purchase. They offered a CREDIT!!! I spent $480, I want my money back, I won't trust them to shop with them again. CAUTION!!!!”
“I ordered a total of 4 items from Modlily. As of today, 2 items shipped, a tankini bathing suit and a bathing suit cover up. The tankini suit and the cover up both have a foul chemical odor which is very strong. I contacted Modlily and asked them to cancel the remaining 2 items that had not yet shipped. That communication via website, took about 40 minutes and they have agreed to cancel it. The items I received should never have been shipped with this odor, but the customer service rep offered to provide 35% off if I kept them which of course I am not doing. I believe this indicates the caliber of the clothes, they are not well made. I will not do business with this company.”
“I placed an order on March 12 and by March 25 it still had not shipped. The order status stayed at “Paid, Waiting Shipment” the entire time. Since the processing window they originally provided had already passed, I contacted customer service and requested that the order be canceled.
Instead of canceling the order right away (which should be simple since it hadn’t shipped), customer service repeatedly tried to delay the cancellation. First they asked for my reason. Then they suggested splitting the shipment into two packages. After that, they offered a 35% account credit if I kept the order. I clearly stated multiple times that I did NOT want the order anymore and wanted it canceled.
Eventually they said my cancellation request was “received” and that I should expect confirmation within 24 hours, but this only happened after several messages back and forth insisting on cancellation.
Customers should not have to go through this much effort just to cancel an order that hasn’t even shipped yet. The experience was frustrating and time-consuming.
If the cancellation is not completed as promised, I will be disputing the charge with my bank.
Posting this so others can make an informed decision before ordering. Please be cautious if you’re expecting fast processing or easy cancellations.”
“When I selected 4 swimsuits I made sure their shipping schedule would arrive well before my vacation. One of the suits even said “ships in 24 hours”. When I checked status and saw they would not arrive until after vacation, I contacted Modlily to cancel the order. *They had NOT shipped. I have now gone thru several iterations of dealing with AI responses, and supposedly a person to try to get my money refunded. They continue trying to give me a
Store Credit. I have told them several times I will never use them again as they have made this so difficult! The lesson is that if you purchase from them and need to cancel or return, you will not get your money back.”
