Tried to get in touch with customer care. Via app - 0 response. Via phone - 0 response. Via email - 0 repsonse. Everyday past three weeks I try to get in contact with them. It is impossible. So i presume that this is a huge scam. And I sincerely DO NOT SUGGEST using this.”

Not recommended to anyone was paying for premium plan single payment over £100 only on the 1 of March all sudden my account get closed yesterday with all the money over £600 no communication whatsoever they running a massive scam by looks of it was saving money awards paying my children's expenses now everything gone very disappointed people be aware !!! Update I managed to call someone from Monese today however agent was very rude didn't explain anything and hang up !!! Please avoid....”

“They suspended my account and when I tried calling to inquire the reason it took them 4months to get back to me and I was informed that my account was suspended because I received money from the UK but it was stated that international transfers were possible and they even provided a GBP account for me when I requested for a refund of the money left in my account since it was being closed I was told that wasn’t possible and no reason was given
In conclusion I think it is a front for fraudulent activities and opening an account with them will be done at your own risk”
“monese blocked my account 22 days ago and have given absolutely no explanation or response to dozens of emails. They just sent me an email the day of the block asking why do I use their bank, I responded and they haven't said anything for 22 days. I have 3000£ in the account as well.”

Tried to open an account and as i currently hold other digital bank one that took less than a day to set up, thought it will be qucik as well. Uploaded documents before Christmas and still haven't heard form them, neither rejection nor acceptation. Sent multiple emails and tried to call on various occasions, but there is no way to get though. Phone line keeps you on hold for an hour before cutting off and you have to choose option for either data change or card block cause they don't deal with other situations over the phone, apparently. Even option for call back from their site does not work as it automatically hungs up on you before you have chance to at least hear any communication.
It really looks like they only steal data to sell it on black market and if there is such a problem to just open an account i can imagine all of those account and fund blocksthat i saw in all those reviews are a standard rule within this so-called bank. They left me no choice but to report them to FCA and outbustment.”

It just happened to me, I had a person EUR account from 2013 with Monese and then opened a Business GBP account in 2018. I never had any problem with them and on the 17th of december 2020, I received funds from my business partner from Africa and received a message that I have to verify my identity with an ID begins with AN. I dont have and never had an ID starting with AN.
Then I tried to log on the Mobile App, there's a message that your account has been locked and you will receive an email telling you what to do next. I never received such email and send mails to their support them with all my IDs and up to now, I never received any response from their customer support team and tried to call them, they dont answer their calls.
I have funds for my business, wage, invoices and bills have to be paid. My partners and service providers are on my neck, I really don't know what to do, I think I have to commit suicide.”
