Very happy with my house insurance, although I had to go onto a comparison site to get the best price. My renewal price was more, therefore may I suggest you look after your current customers and offer them the same as new!

I love the simplicity of the quote process! The only thing I recommend you improve in the quote stage is the question relating to the age of the house. For old houses, it is hard to estimate the age.

I found it difficult to understand why the details of my lapsed previous policy could not be used for the new policy... But we got there in the end.

Very easy to use as it remembered all my details from last year. However it's a depressing sign of the times that this is even necessary - loyalty should be encouraged rather than penalised.

Customers on old policies should be actively advised to change to new and much cheaper policies when available, rather than let them discover the hard way and consider switching insurers. For years I have paid for contents and building policy at least twice as much as customers buying new policies were. This is no way to reward customer loyalty.

I am a former employee of Royal Insurance. Having spent more than 40 years in the insurance business and qualified FCII I do know a little bit about UNDERWRITING. I would prefer to supply information relating to risk assessment in writing by email instead of being asked questions over the phone by someone following a script.
