“I needed to do a car check for the finance position of a car I was buying privately. When I got the report it showed finance still outstanding. I rang and the kind fellow rang the finance company and I soon received a new report at no extra cost. Thank you for your help. I would certainly reccomend your company to my friends and family. sincerely Mary Marsden”

Hi, the check displayed will show all the data supplied at the product level you chose. If you choose to buy a "Classic" check, we advise that there will be information missing which will be available on the "Gold" check. The different amounts of information on each product level is clearly stated before you purchase. Thanks.

“I paid for a platinum car check, which give me the option to find the details on four vehicles, the second car I checked the details on had in its service book two other registration numbers other than the current one, but these did not show up in the report I paid for, I sent an e-mail back to the people @ my car check but they said if these other reg numbers were not listed with DVLA then my car check would have nothing to report on the other reg numbers. I sent an e-mail showing a photo of the service book with the other numbers circled as num1,& 2, and then the current reg,. The service book on the other vehicle I checked did also have a reg number in the service book different to the current one, but the report also said this number did not exist. So overall I felt the website offered a lot before paying but provided nothing of relevance to me. Kind regards David Bell”

“To be honest I felt that not releasing the information on weather or not there was finances owed on the car on the basic tariff . Means that I would not use it for purchasing a second hand car , I feel this is a vital piece of info that most people would expect , I felt a bit let down as when you are checking for a potential car to buy out of a few , it would cost too much money to check too many on the more expensive tariffs . Felt a bit hoodwinked”

Hi, many thanks for your feedback. We are always considering how to improve the products and packages we offer, so this is very useful to us. Many customers use the different levels of products for different purposes. We would suggest that the Classic product is useful for shortlisting many cars and utilising the Gold or Platinum check for the car you intend to buy, depending on it's value. Thanks.

“If you are in the market for a used car you must consider if the vehicle you would like to buy may have been written off. What looks like a bargain could turn out to be a money pit! I have looked at some beautiful cars and gone on to check their history, doing so has provided some interesting facts like how many times the car had been re-sprayed. You will find yourself asking why! Completing a car check also provides up to date information like road tax prices for the car you are looking at, plus it gives the current book value. I will not hesitate to purchase further checks for which ever car I choose to buy. For peace of mind, it is worth every penny.”

“used service for 1st time recently only to find the data I was looking for was not available ( mileage and market valuation ) even though it was this sales element that convinced me to buy . Vehicle was a 1983 model. I paid £9.95 for basically a report that f no use to me. Contacted customer services registering my issue and await response. Plus side report was with me within 30 seconds and easy to read.”
