“I was just about to travel 100 miles and purchase a £3k 4x4. Before I set out I completed a check on the car to find out that the ownership on the car had not changed over the last year. The current owner told me he had owned it for only 4 weeks. When I called and asked was he the registered keeper on the V5 he said no and was driving the car on his dad's insurance and could not afford his own. It just did not tally up and his story changed.... So I walked away and left him too it. ????”

“Yes very quick reply with all the relevant details, ( Gold check) as the car is at a dealership. I would recommend that getting the vehicle VIN number would be advantages as I didn't note that in this case but all the other important derails like HPI clear, stolen etc was detailed for my peace of mind. I have used My Car Check before and would recommend this service to my family and friends. Thomas Barnes.”

“Not sure if this is practical! The car I was considering buying turned out to be a cat c write off. Would have liked more info on the damage/repairs and any post repair inspection if there was one.”
