“Was in the process of buying a damaged car which I was assured was only cosmetic. Did a My Car Check and it turned out the car was a category S (structural) insurance write off which buyer wasn't aware of. Saved myself a nightmare/fortune.”

“Good general checker, BUT how can you justify putting the basic check up from £1.99 to £2.99 then to £3.99 within six months?? 100% price increase sticks in the throat.”

“The app is excellent and provides everything you need to know. I ve used it regular and it just gives that added peace of mind. Also good for uncovering facts hidden by sellers so you can make informed decisions. Only thing I wasn’t happy about was the price increase from £1.99 to £3.99 per basic check. Didn’t get any extra from the increased price.”

“Used this on a car I know to be a cat b write off, cake back Hpi clear?? Even though this car is still in “my garage” in the app- months later still shows as Hpi clear- since scrapped and no scrapped marker set”

“Excellent service & report that could be improved: 1. If the price had not increased so significantly since buying the previous report. I actually tried to buy elswhere before: 2. The loyalty discount needs promoting more openly 3.. By not misleading customers into believing it is necessary to re-register”

“We have been using My Car Check for quite a while and have always been pleased. However, the sudden steep price rise has made us start looking for somewhere else. No notification of the price increase was given in advance. Bearing in mind that when you have been an account holder for as long as we have, you would have thought that out of courtesy, they would have let us know.”
