“My car check was a waste of time for me, gave incorrect MOT data and even the paid check mainly gave information that is already available through DVLA and gov.uk websites. I would not recommend using this.”

“I would give 0 stars if possible. They do not make it clear at all that when you purchase a singular car check you are signing up for a subscription. I am currently working with the fraud team at my bank to recover my money”

“Seems like lots of people have been scammed in the same way I was. IE: Pay £5.95 for a car check, then find £39.90 being taken from my account within my knowledge or permission. I didn't notice immediately, so they got away with £80. As a retired pensioner, 80 quid is a month's heating. Thanks for that. A series of emails was met with being fobbed off, and no questions answered. Unlike similar arrangements (a month of Sky, for instance), there is no communication of any type, warning that you'll be charged - in my case they took the money just 2 days after I checked the 1 relevant car. I would be VERY careful if dealing with this company. This is sharp practice verging on fraud.”

“I’ve also just been caught by this blatant scam today - never knowingly signed up for anything. Will cancel subscription asap - steer well clear. Did a one off check and found myself signed up for £40 per month.”

“Beware of this scam: When you purchase a single HPI check, you might unknowingly be signed up for a monthly subscription. They don’t send you any email notification about this. Fortunately, I noticed the charge on my credit card statement and canceled the subscription. They provide portal to view the HPI report and invoice, but it doesn’t indicate that you’re enrolled in an active subscription. Avoid using their service.”

“Scam company, do not use! Payed for 1 off car check at £5.95 then have preceded to take £39.90 per month for the last 3 months. I did not sign up to a subscription, no email stating that I was signed up to a subscription. Only noticed when reviewing bank statements. Customer service don't respond via Email, Website reports no customer email found with payment when trying to unsubscribe. Customer service phoneline could not find my account but said the subscription was in the small print... Will block via my bank.”

“How are these people allowed to get away with scamming customers? No clear way of avoiding subscription, no emails from them to confirm this and when you try to call them the phone line goes dead. They don't investigate complaints but instead send confirmation emails stating that they. SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM SXAM. Avoid using this site at all costs!”

“Scammed me too. Paid the £5.95 one of payment and only after the third month have I noticed they have been taking £39.90 per month and taken two months worth. I've caught them on the third month and cancelled the payment. We know exactly where they are based and will be taking matters into our own hands. Karma coming.”
