“The details of the dog tags are all correct however the size of each character is so small that they are impossible to read. If I did not know the data it would be very difficult to decipher. I'm sure that the font was larger on the dog tags that were issued to me in 1953. David Woelke US56196619”

Hi David, thanks for your review and your military service. The size of the characters on dogtags has remained virtually the same from WWII to modern times, with the only change being a switch from debossed to embossed letters. As you can imagine, If the letters were any bigger all of your information would not actually fit onto the tags. That said, modern EMBOSSED tags are much easier to read than the DEBOSSED tags. “These tags are really high quality! The real bonus is that you can order the tags so that they attach directly on to the back of the collar with studs. I have two young Golden Retrievers that are constantly biting at each others collars and have lost two sets of tags that I got at PetValue. The only small complaint I have ( :-) ) is that I wish I had heard of the company before as I have gone through a lot of lost tags and tags that after a year simply wear out and have to be replaced.”

“They have been my "Go To Company" for all Tags! I got Medic Alert Tags since turning 65. I have 4 Tags one with My Info, 2nd with Next of Kin / Power of Attorney, 3 & 4 Names & Phone Numbers of Doctors. Got the Red Rubber silencers so they stand out for EMS workers & ER Staff! Hi Harold, thanks for your feedback and your military service. As you may know, regulations for military dog tags have changed many times over the years depending on the era and branch of service. As such, it is important to consider that many people have their own idea of what an "original" dog tag actually looks like since there have been many variations in the material , shape, thickness, and font type. We take great pride in trying to match our replicas with what a veteran would have received in boot camp, whether it was in 1942 or 2022. “I purchased the WW II version of a USMC tag for a family shadow box to honor our Marine who served in WW II and Korea. The quality of the tags are excellent as well as the legability of the etched information. I would highly recommend this product if you are thinking about making a purchase.
