Hi Carol, The navy, marines, and army had various formats throughout WWII, which is why we offer various templates on our website depending on the year and branch. It seems that you placed an order using 2 different templates. We never alter the information on the tags submitted to us, it is totally up to the customer to choose the final design. “To whom it may concern, I would love to write a review; however, I never received the Dog Tags. The Postal service here on Fort Irwin is less than reliable, even though the Postal tracker showed otherwise. According to the USPS tracking code, my dog tags were delivered to my mailbox on May 27th at 1:03 PM. I checked and found nothing. I talked to the Post Office, and they said it was delivered. Not sure if I want to take the same chance and order a second pair, especially if the USPS is involved.”

Hi Marshall, Thank you for your purchase and review. The tags you bought have debossed text which is historically accurate for that period of time. Debossed text on a military dog tag is difficult to read as it was originally meant to be used with an Addressograph Model 70. This was a handheld imprinter that made ink stamps of the information onto paper records. If you would like to have your tags re-made using the modern embossed font where the letters are raised from the metal rather than pushed into the tag please let us know by email at support@mydogtag.com.
